I am responsible for P&L of Renewable Business Vertical (SOLAR/WIND/ENERGY STORAGE/GREEN HYDROGEN)
and developing company into a major renewable EPC player in ME & AFRICA.
Solis Solar is a renewable company engaged in Large MW scale solar EPC, IPP, Business catering to Govt,
corporate and open access customers.
Adani is one of the largest conglomerates in India with diverse business interests. It also is the largest
Renewable Power Producer with over 25 GW under operation and over 10 GW under development.
VP & Head Solar Business - Reporting CEO
- Responsible for Solar business, module sales and over all responsible for P&L and maintaining high EBIDTA
Margins.
- Won over 700 MW and Executed 400 MW solar EPC/IPP (both Govt as well as C&I customers), Increase
Revenue & EBIDTA ($200 Million, 15%)
- Prepare Annual budget for the BU and monitor delivery as per the agreed annual target.
- Establish System and Processes & Setup QA/EHS and O&M departments
- Develop Vendor and execution partner network & decrease procurement cost by 15% YOY
- Set up Solar PV plant monitoring system and ensure project profitability over PPA term
- Maintaining government relation at all levels (central, state, local, and international) to ensure conducive
environment to advance business.
Achievements:
- Turned around Solar EPC business turnkey EPC into a profitable BU within one year of my taking over a
business head.
- Participated in over 2 GW solar tender from NTPC, SECI, GUVNL, APGCL, MDEDCL, EESL, SCCL, NLC.
Won over 1 GW plus Solar projects, Commissioned 400 MW plus and under execution over 700 MW
- Successfully closed orders worth 500 MW of module sales with EPC/ developers/C&I customers
- Successfully closed negotiations for 75 MW PPA for open access and rooftops
- Generated business of Over $300 Million with 18% EBITDA margin.
- Worked on expansion plans that included setting business activities in MENA, SEA and Australia.
- Well versed with latest module technology and module manufacturing process
EDELWEISS ALTERNATE ASSETS - (
I was heading the green energy platform portfolio for edelwiess Alternate Assets Advisors (EDELWEISS COMPANY).
The plant form had interest in investing in Renewable Energy, Roads, Transmission line with an capital allocation of over 1 billion dollars with a greenshoes option of $ 600 Million.
My responsibility was to acquire Solar and wind power plants with high returns. I was responsible for doing technical due diligence and assessment of the assets and help investment decision making and post acquisition to maintain the plant optimal output by implementing methods, technology and systems.
I headed the Renewable platform reporting to the Fund Manager (Sr. EVP)
- Business Development to set up 1 GW Solar Power portfolio by acquiring the solar assets
- Hold discussion with investors and project developers.
- Oversee due diligence process before acquisition & give Go/No Go Solar Plant acquisition to management
- Setting up control and monitoring center, lead procurement, engineering, and operations
- Cost control & entire P&L responsibility
