As an integral part of Nielsen B2B-Industry Market Research team, I head the research,
consulting and business development for the South India market. .
* I also hold responsibility for driving the syndicate research business of Nielsen (pioneering
the first of its kind business in Nielsen) catering to International market with prime focus in
MENA, Europe and USA.
* I balance multiple responsibilities that involve:
* Identifying the business through existing client relationships/RFQs/new business
development.
* Understanding the pain-points/ requirement of the client and elaborating Nielsen’s
capabilities
* Developing strategies that addresses to the challenge and providing adequate
solution to the client
* Proposal writing, evaluating cost/expenditure, liaising with data acquisition team,
negotiating with client to ensure win-win situation.
* Driving the Research through a team of committed analysts and data acquisition
experts.
* Putting together available information in form of report (Word/PDF or PPT)
* Presenting the final report to the client, receiving feedback, making necessary
changes (if suggested), maintaining long-standing relationship.
Major Projects with Nielsen:
* FMCG: Furnished a global report on cooking oils and fats for a Tier 1 Global Food Production
company based out of UAE. I was involved in all stages right from creating the opportunity to
negotiation and final execution of the project.
* Healthcare: Closed a big ticket deal with a global m-health company based out USA for
assessment of diagnostic apps market in South Asia, particularly India. Handled the RFQ,
developed the proposal and complete execution of the project.
* Retail and E-Commerce: Worked with a Indian market leader in Home furnishing solutions
to estimate the current sofa market in India. Study involved both Qualitative and
Quantitative assessment of the market.
* Building and Construction: Carried out a Brand Evaluation study for a Global Paint
company with major emphasis on assessment of its brand presence in South India.
Created opportunity, closed deal and executed over 10 projects in six months that ranges from
market sizing to location study, pricing study, customer satisfaction and brand evaluation studies.
