Position: RF Optimization Engineer (05 Aug 2012 to Present)
Projects: Successfully done the 3G \[3G1 Project\] Mobily project.
Responsibilities: • Network KPI's monitoring and enhancement mainly (CSSR, CDR, TBF Est.
• Succ. and drop Rate, RRC SSR, RRC DR, RAB SSR, RAB Drop rate.
• Perform drive test analysis on weekly basis for VIR (Very Important
• Roads) and clusters per RNC and on monthly basis for benchmarking
• with competitors using TEMS investigation 11 to identify/solve radio
• performance issues like poor coverage; bad quality; pilot pollution;
• etc.
• Monitor & analyze CS/PS Radio Network Statistics on daily basis using
• M2000 and Business Objects XI (linked to M2000 database)
• Handle daily trouble tickets on Remedy for performance degradation on • some areas.
• Respond to weekly and monthly worst cells reports.
• Applying second carrier strategy
• Minimize RNC DCR and Blocking rate by idle mode; handover and • admission parameters' tuning in addition to CS/PS traffic balancing
• between first and second carriers or between 3G and 2G cells using
• load sharing methods.
• Perform physical parameters tuning to reach optimum coverage for each
• cell by changing antenna mechanical/electrical tilts and height to • solve bad coverage spots and pilot pollution and adapt the
• integration of a new sites.
• Monitor cell traffic and issue the expansions needed to absorb the • traffic growth.
• Optimize Hand over parameters to achieve best mobility performance.
• Optimize HSPA/HSPA+ parameters to ensure the best data experience
• "admission, high throughput, minimum latency etc".
• Perform trials for 2G and 3G new features to reach the optimum
• setting according to the network profile.
• Monitor network performance during special events (concerts,
• demonstrations and Eid vacations; etc) and perform aggressive
• parameters' tuning and physical actions to absorb the huge traffic
• increase in addition to COW deployment if needed.
• Requesting new sites for poor coverage spots with the support of • planning team.
• Neighbor and parameter audit.
• GSM Frequency retuning.
• Hardware problems and alarms escalation.

Position: RF Engineer (12 jan 2011 to 15 july 2012)
Projects: CMPak Rollout Project
Resposibilites: • Regional Owner of a BSC with around 300 sites, responsible for its daily monitoring & resolving issues and also working at the customer interface for discussing and resolving any issues arising in the region.
• City level and cell level optimization based on CS KPIs i.e. CDR, HOSR, CSSR, SD-Blocking, TCH-Blocking through soft or hard optimization processes.
• Daily monitoring of stats through ZTE reporting tools (NetNumen) and optimizing to achieve KPI Targets.
• Performed Neighbor Audits and Frequency Audits for removing Co/Adj frequency clashes by proposing appropriate changes.
• Coordination of Field Visits of Drive Test and FOPS Teams to identify and resolve any Hardware issues, tilts adjustments and full or partial swaps.
• Proposed soft and hard optimization changes for any coverage and quality issues raised through customer complaints.
• Recommended network expansions to cater increasing traffic in the region.
• Identified coverage/quality issues through log file analysis.
• Proposed and successfully conducted trials showing significant improvement in KPIs specially CDR, HOSR, TCH/SD congestion etc.
• Prepared benchmarking reports for trials conducted and submitted to customer for the approval and mass implementation.
• Prepared parameter changing requests to improve KPIs.
• Monitored Service affecting alarms and reported to FOPS for resolution and regular follow up for prompt rectification.
• Expansion planning for SDR and v3 sites.
• Approved drive test reports for roll out project.
• Approved "SDR swap", "Hard/soft" expansion sites on the basis of their pre/post KPIs.
• Proposed Antenna height reduction to cater overshooting of cells.
• Monitored re-homing activities of BSC's by defining route for the post Drive test activity, highlighting issues and discrepancies during re-homing activities and proposing their viable solution.

FAST mobile (Solar vehicle) [Final Year Project] The basic idea of Final year project was to make a vehicle running by using sunlight. Thus a design of remote control solar car was designed which was done successfully. The project was also broadcast on Sunday 15th of January 2012. Then the project was taken to COMSATS institute, Lahore and won with third position in paper presentation. It was also taken to the Peshawar National University Of Computer And Emerging Sciences and gained a remarkable success over there.
