• Filtering requirements of our client (MPW, MOI, MOC, MEW) according to the tender documents, concerned authority standard and coordinate with our designing team (Tony Gee)to make up the best design.
• Preparation and Submission of Basis of design, Basic designs and Detail design, shop drawings, as built for approvals to our consultant (Dar Al Handasah).
• Supervising the cad operators to make shop drawing and other related drawings.
• Preparation of BOQ (Cables, Street lighting, Cable ladder, Grounding materials, MV switchgear, Transformers, Violation Camera, CCTV camera VMS Gantry, Generator and other Miscellanious according to project requirements.
• Dealing with Manufacturers/ Vendors / Suppliers.
• Designing cable ladder, equipments, grounding system etc.
• Design street light including lighting pole and other services according to tender documents, Design criteria and project specification.
• Design and implement UPS, Emergency Generator, Transformer according to the load calculation.
• Erection MV transmission line for the diversion (11KV).
• Underground MV cable laying with all necessary protection for Road diversion works, protection of the existing cable.
• Making approval with consultant for all permanent material used in the project.
• Submission of RFIT to the consultant prior to commencement of the work..
• Preparation of monthly report, Work schedule, Work progress, Manpower managing etc.
• Preparing proper documentation to submit RAM(Request for Approval of Material) and responding to consultant’s Comments.
• Keeping all activities recorded for the future reference. Daily activity logs, MOM, Weekly report, Monthly report, Etc.
• Furnish Method statement, ITP, Safety plan with the coordination of the safety officer.
• Furnishing LOI, Purchase Order, Manufacturing clearance, addendum.
• Letters to Ministries, Consultants or other project contractors.
It was a challenging opportunity to work in 400 KV GIS
substation with high quality manufacturing company Toshiba.
