Responsible for providing educational guidance and assistance for students.
Planning schedules, recommending courses and determining appropriate education solutions for different types of students.
Follow through and track the advancement of students and providing assistance for at-risk students (probation students).
Consults with students to audit progress through programs.
Provide students with information about alternatives, limitations and possible consequences of academic decisions (e.g. adding, dropping and withdrawing from courses; change of program, major and/or transfer institution).
Assist students, either at their request or through intrusive methods (e.g. Banner/online registration, portal..), in the monitoring and evaluation of their educational progress.
Assist students in understanding academic regulations, policies, procedures and programs.
Manage sensitive situations and resolve complaints at an early stage to minimize conflict and prevent escalation.
Educates new and continuing students in identified programs about course planning and registration processes.
Conducts orientation, training, and development sessions for new staff.
Assist in all matters pertaining to office facilities including their maintenance, and procurement such as furniture, office supplies, telephones and communications, photocopiers and meeting rooms.
Develop requests for proposal and ensure its delivery to relevant vendors.
Issue a purchase order for the selected vendor.
Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies.
Assist in some administrative activities such as making local travel arrangements for staff and organizing the transportation daily schedule in cooperation with the logistic Officer.
Assist in procurement activities as requested from direct supervisor such as (filling follow up sheet, following up on purchase orders, following upon material receipt, etc…).
