Cash Flow Management

• Perform cash flow forecasting based on the business plan/updated budget forecast and business priorities to ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements.
• Comparing the Budget with Actuals & Analyzing the Variances.
• Manage cash flow projection and optimize funding cost and investment returns on investments.
• Manage daily cash balances and trading in the financial markets and negotiate loan terms with Al-Othaim bankers.
• Provide periodic reports on cash position, a s well as perform cash requirement forecast and arrange for debt and equity financing.
• Assess, manage and mitigate foreign currency exposure.

Treasury Risk, Performance and Reporting

• Manage and monitor Al-Othaim corporate’ Financial Risks (Interest Rate, Foreign Exchange, etc.).
• Advise on cost control measures in order to drive operational efficiencies in the Finance Division.
• Analyze and present reports pertaining to Treasury to Senior Leadership in order to provide a comprehensive overview and analysis of activities.

Market intelligence and relationship management

• Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions in order to enable smooth functioning of the Treasury department process. • Liaise with Treasury professionals outside Al-Othaim in order to identify potential Financial Institution and leverage their network to establish partnerships.
• Keep abreast with new investment opportunities at partner Financial Institutions as well as monitoring profiles, changes and developments at Financial Institutions through effective relationship management to identify the most optimal opportunities for liquidity investment.
• Gather market trends and intelligence and informing and advising the CFO and the Senior Leadership on their implications on the balance sheet.
