Position Summary:
Providing technical support to the Resident Engineer / Structural Engineer and for reviewing, monitoring, inspecting and supervising all Civil / Structural works during the construction phase of the project.
Checking that the Contractor’s works are carried out in accordance with best practices, statutory and client requirements and in accordance to the IFC drawings and specifications.
Duties:
Apply practices and tools for project supervision, execution and management.
Monitor the quality of workmanship. Achieve zero defects in company works and that of Contractors.
Check steel reinforcement and formworks before concrete pouring.
Implement required materials testing at site i.e. concrete cylinder and steel reinforcement, etc.
Solicit proposals and/or quotation from possible suppliers/contractors of owner-supplied materials.
Evaluate proposal/quotation and recommend to the client thru the Project Manager the chosen supplier/contractor. Upon approval of contract, schedule target completion and delivery date of owner-supplied materials.
Check and supervise project-related works while maintaining the smooth and safety execution of the work.
Receive, inspect and check delivery of owner-supplied materials as well as evaluation and preparation of the corresponding payment for the delivered items.
Works includes overseeing the on-going activities within the project site in coordination with the client, other designers and contractors involved.
Prepare project status report for project file and client’s information.
Experience at working both independently and in team oriented environment.
Prepare correspondences, site instruction, transmittal, etc. regarding the project.
Conduct project site coordination meeting with the contractors/suppliers involved in the project.
Ensures that the jobs will be done according to all applicable health, safety, sanitary and environmental standards.
Ensure all technical information is available when required for the delivery of design and/or construction.

• Inspect sub-structure waterproofing works as required.
• Inspect civil works at relevant stages i.e. setting out, blockwork erection, preparation for plastering, completion of plastering, painting preparation, painting etc.
• Witness waterproofing and flood tests for wet areas.
• Inspect and ensure all necessary insulations/vapour barriers and the like are installed as per approved Shop Drawings and Specifications.
• Verify and inspect all concrete deliveries for compliance with grade of concrete/slump etc.
• Witness all concrete pours as per Concrete pour schedules.
• Witness all concrete curing etc. are being carried out as per Specifications.
• Witness de-shuttering activity and inspect de-shuttered works for defects and /or non-conformities.
• Verify that approved QA/QC Procedures are being followed by Contractor.
• Witness digging of boreholes etc. for installation of de-watering wells as per approved Method Statement.
• Inspect any shoring works for compliance with approved Method Statement.

• Assurance on the implementation of curing method and ensure that the said method is in accordance with the established procedures.
• Preparation and maintenance of quality control reports and records.
• Inspection of all precast units’ prior delivery
• To conduct quality control inspection of the precast units before, during and after casting operation
• To oversee demoulding and stripping of cast element ensuring that the required lifting strength is met
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Coordinates with senior staff to establish and maintained data coding structures, project control tools and quality data for budgets, contracts, change order, actual cost and estimate at completion.
• Ability to read blue print and accordingly performed construction works.
• Attend project meeting with state administrative department accompanied by the clients.
• Involve in project planning, tender preparation of bill of quantities and contractors short-listing.
• Joint measurement of construction work together with consultant and contractors.
• In-charge on plan/implementation based on specification required.
• Documentation, bill preparation and site handling over checklist and rectification.
• Daily progress monitoring of construction work and report to general manager.
• Handle over-all supervision of workforce and scheduling of heavy equipment to be used on project sites.
