Pro-actively maintained the OTN network \[Ciena 5430\] & Intelligent Optical Mesh Network \[Ciena 5400\] that overlays the AT&T network using Core Director which is a multiservice, multi-protocol optical switching system that consolidates the functionality of a MSPP, DCS, Ethernet, and Optical Transport Network (OTN) switch into a single, high-capacity intelligent switching system.
Ciena’s 5430 Packet-Optical Platform is the industry’s first multi-terabit packet-optical switching platform that transforms networks into scalable, flexible, cost-reduced service-enabling infrastructures to meet the monumental traffic growth challenges of the 21st century.
• Knowledge of Core & Metro Ring technologies on the CNI Network including Cisco MSPs, Alcatel/Lucent DMX’s and 1+1 / 0X1 protection schemes on Core Directors / OTN shelves \[Ciena 5400 & 5430\].
• Knowledge of Core transport technologies such as Lucent, NEC, FW7500 DWDM’s and ADM’s.
• Knowledge of turning up and maintaining ESS-MAN Networks using Cisco 3400’s.
•Worked extensively with SONET and DWDM technologies from vendors like Fujitsu, Alcatel, Cisco & Nortel and gained expertise in t1 through OC192 level trouble isolation
