Construction Package No. 1 (CP1) Marina District & WADI Area

The first infrastructure work package for an area of 3.2 Sq.Km, works includes underground utility tunnel with 14.6 km length for both Wet tunnel (including District cooling, Pneumatic Waste collection, Irrigation, Potable water, Fire Alarm system) and dry tunnel(Cable management system, 66 &11 KV cabling, Fiber Optic Cables, CCTV, SCADA, Fire walls, 28 fan rooms with 334 ventilation Fans )services to serve 113 developers, 4 No’s of 66/11 KV under round substations connected to the mainLDSS1 station with approx. 125 KM of 66 KV cables, 40 No’s of 11KV substations, two No’s of portable water reservoirs as 80, 000 M3 capacity for each, 2 No’s of irrigation reservoirs, 2 No’s of storm water pumping stations and network, road works, and all related buried services and networks required for the city development such storm water network, landscaping for marina promenade, timber dicking, vacuum sewer station, Telecom exchange fit out works, DI & Stainless covers.

Job Responsibilities:
• Assisting the Senior Project Manager in the major tasks and prepare weekly status reports.
• Managing, monitoring and supervising the construction activities to insure the completion of CP1 (construction package 1) on time with highest quality and minimum cost.
• Visiting the construction site in daily basis and making weekly meetings with all parties, making task force meetings with all parties to control the delay and to speed up process at site.
• Following up with consultant’s design team and PM/CM all remaining design issues which have not been completed till date, to ensure the issuance of the IFC drawings to the main contractor on time.
• Coordinate and follow up with public authorities (KM, ASHGHAL, CIVIL DEFENCE, MOI...) to obtain the required approvals for tie in connections and services regulations.
• Holding coordination meetings with other partners whom working within the CP1 limit, like LRT, QDVC Car Park, Landscape, to solve the clashes issues due to works.
• Coordinate between the main contractor, Plot developers, logistic, safety and other stakeholders and departments to insure all parties are in line with LUSAIL’s rules and instructions.
• Holding a weekly Quality and Safety meetings with the contractor and all parties to ensure the highest limit of quality and safety are implemented.
• Control and monitor the progress of work at site.
• Held weekly contractual meeting to get involved in contractual issues belongs to the raised VORs and find the proper way to settle the bending matters.
• Review the submissions to GTC in coordination with our PM/CM, and making sure that the changes are justified very well.
• Review the revised work program/Schedule with PM/CM and analyze the delay to be recovered within the final completion target date of CP1, and to specify the main critical actives (CPM).
• To coordinate and assist for producing the final close out report where mention the main work plan and lessons learnt from historical trouble shooting. To participate as a team member to develop the Lusail project management procedures.
