Im Currently Working in Doha Qatar for 8 years at al-ahli hospital with 250 bed capacity in medical-surgical Unit.
• Prepares patients reports.
• Prepares admisssion, discharges and transfers of patients to the ward.
• Renders individualized patient care to clients
• Attend ward rounds with medical staff to identify clients healthcare needs.
• Reports changes in patients conditions to ward manager and medical staff-clinical leader for continuity of patient care.
• Formulate plan of care to answer the client's health care needs
• Provide nursing care
• Establishes IV's or other medical devices.
• Follows the doctors order that have been left and update the doctors with new suggestions, or ideas of patient care. This may include coordinating tests such as blood, diagnostic imaging, biopsies, etc.
• Prepares and dispence medications come in many different formats such as by mouth, by skin, through IV, by inhaling, rectally, etc which depends on how the medications was oredered.
• Initiates cardiac pulmonary resuscitation and immediate referrals during "code blue" in the ward.
• Conducts health teaching to clients.
• Promotes self care, adequate hydration, personal hygiene and nutrition of health care recipients.
• Provides emotional and physical support to patients and their families.
• Provides independent nursing care as part of the health care team.
• Evaluates client's response to nursing interventions rendered and ensures adherence to therapeutic regimen for continuity of care.
• Assesses nursing care needs and problems of patients at the start of duty.
• Creates plans of care with established standards for assigned group of patients.
• Makes rounds, either alone or with physicians; plans patient care with the doctor and the patient.
• Listen to, evaluates, and acts on needs, problems, and suggestions of patients, visitors, doctors and others.
• Records patient's needs and problems and nursing care, supportive measures, procedures done and equipment used, and patient's reactions/results of the procedures according to the actual time.
