Developing and implementing production plans
Oversee the production workflow by reviewing the production schedules, engineering specifications and job orders to ensure that jobs are accurate and on-time and see to it that the processes are being followed from the initial stage to final stage.
Monitor the use of raw materials to minimize waste, downtime & bottlenecks in the production line.
Regulate and adjust workflow schedules according to established production sequences and lead times to expedite production operations.
Gather and analyze data and recommend to improve productivity efficiency, quality and
safety.
Recommending and implementing improvements in the production process through lean & six sigma tools & techniques
Identify production requirements, determine and allocate raw materials needed, and coordinate with the warehouse and the production planning team.
Report quality issues and coordinate resolutions to defects to the related departments.
Work with the QA/QC team to ensure compliance with the quality requirements and seek to improve processes quality.
Liaise with the maintenance team to resolve mechanical problems, eliminate waste, minimize cost & downtown and guarantee production efficiency without production loss.
Overseeing manufacturing engineering activities in assembly, welding, machining, milling and turning operations
Providing product support, manufacturing support, and failure analysis if any.
Identifying and deploying lean tools & Six Sigma methodologies throughout the organisation
Designing special tooling and fixtures for field, manufacturing and engineering use
Maintaining and improving all factory processes and related metrics (production efficiency, cycle times, capacity, capabilities and others as needed)
Creating and maintaining daily, weekly reports, work instructions, route sheets and other process documentation in
need
Responsible for the manufacturing stations to meet the production schedule, quality standards and client specifications and delivery schedule.
Manage the production and manufacturing of products in a safe and efficient manner so that production targets are achieved with minimum waste that meets quality standards and client specifications.
Make sure all orders are produced with in the specified delivery schedule & closed in ERP/MRP system when finished products are delivered for final stock & dispatch.
Supervise the production process to ensure finished products meet quality standards / client specifications
Monitor the use of raw materials to minimize waste & downtime.
Supervise the use of machinery at all stations by production staff in line with established guidelines/work instructions to maximize output and achieve efficiency
Coordinate with maintenance to ensure the maximum availability of machinery for production
Coordinate with the store to ensure raw materials are available to meet the production schedule
Liaise with the technical staff regarding any issues that delay the manufacturing and delivery schedule
In conjunction with QC personnel identify defective products and recommend corrective actions or repairs policies and procedures
Comply with operational procedures and instructions when performing all job tasks and activities
Promote employee engagement & team effectiveness for productivity
Conduct annual performance appraisals and provide staff feedback
Establish subordinates annual objectives and targets HSE
Develop a safety culture by ensuring all staff comply with HSE policies and procedures
Participate in QHSE audits, incident reporting and review of QHSE performances as required
Ensure all production stations are clean and well organized to prevent incidents and accidents
