1. Manages Network Operations and Maintenance of all optical fiber related activities on the 330kv power line for the region
2. Primarily responsible for ensuring that the pops in the region are closely monitored 24/7.
3. Ensure that end-to-end interconnectivity of clients are properly documented after provisioning in the region.
4. Manage and supervise the field operations contractors on all projects in the region to meet the required SLA/KPI.
5. Provide support for network surveillance, fault resolution, root cause analysis and reporting.
6. Responsible for all the equipment/foc preventive maintenance on the network
7. Responsible for the efficient operation and performance of the equipment in the region
8. Responsible for the installations and maintenance of network equipment (e.g. DWDM/SDH) across the region
9. Responsible for coordinating the leave schedule of the support engineers in the region.
10. Work closely with the Noc and support engineers in restoring link outages when the need arises
11. Make appropriate recommendation required to resolve issues that may impart the network.
12. Oversees all the works of the support staff in the region
13. Conduct site patrols and analyze the conditions of aerial fiber installation on the 132/330kv power grid across Nigeria (1500km).
14. Plan and implementation of long haul preventive maintenance and cut overs to new fiber installations.
15. Ensure the long haul preventive maintenance does not exceed the approved window.
16. Enforce safety of all personnel during maintenance activities around 330kv inductive circuit.
17. Generate continuous weekly availability reports for the region.
18. Conduct new Network survey, design and Site built Implementation.
19. SDH interface transport management, DWDM, Dark Fiber management.

NETWORK IMPLEMENTATION, OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE DEPT, BENIN REGION
Manage all Optical fiber connectivity, SDH network within the southern region of Nigeria.
Estimate project implemented and Perform Network audits during and after project execution.
Commissioning and provisioning new optical and SHD equipment and devices within the region.
Interconnection activities with other network operators
Coordinate the regions staff
Generating weekly report activities for the region
1. Manages all optical fiber projects
2. Coordinates field Managers, supervisors and contractors.
3. Plan and conduct sites survey.
4. Designing new fiber optics cable networks for clients
5. Perform in-house training of staff and clients staff on fiber optic cabling and CFOT certification from FOA of USA
1. Manage and oversee 21st Century Technologies optical fiber network (Lagos mainland)
2. Design and implementation of fiber optics route including Metro and Long Haul networks
3. Design of fiber optics transport network for access distribution network
4. Generation of As Built Drawings and documentations
5. Installation and Termination of fiber cable into ODF racks
6. Conducting and evaluation of Acceptance test using OTDR and other tools
7. Periodic Network Audits on ODFs, Generating weekly updates for Management
8. Dark fiber provisioning within and outside 21st century optical fiber plants
9. Manage and guide local contractor on each optical fiber project.
10. Optical fiber Transmission links recovery.
11. Live traffics cutover from old fiber cable to a new or another fiber and redundancy link provisioning.
12. Fiber Splice Teams Coordination and Management
13. Liaise and proffer solution with NOC on PDH, SDH operational and network issues
Correction of faulty digital telephone lines and repair of telephone lines accessories.
Maintenance of External Line Plant copper and fiber optics cable network
Deployment of cable for PABX telephone Installation, CAT5/6 Voice/Data Cabling Installation
Activation of new telephone lines for business office and residential homes
Installation of DSL circuit for internet connection
Installation of E1 circuit for point to point and multipoint connection
MDF cable cross connections, Installation of fixed wired line with twisted copper for ISDN, DSL, E1, P2P and Digital voice line
Expansion of existing External Line Plant copper cable network, via manhole, joint box, Cable stringing.
Liaise with local contractor to implement network objectives as specified in project charter

Higher National Diploma in Electrical Power Engineering.
