o Initiated and managed the implementation of IRC’s emergency programmes targeting Internally Displaced People (IDPs). This involved monitoring and developing responses to longer-term emergency situations as well as reacting to rapid onset emergencies;

o Met with current and future IRC donors to discuss ways of channelling aid inputs through IRC;
o As part of IRC’s Emergency Team, participated actively in designing IRC response to Afghanistan crisis and helped put the ground base for the operations;
o Planned and organized OFDA food component for the IRC’s relief operation in Afghanistan;
o Designed food related reporting format for the IRC field office in Afghanistan;
o Managed the IRC food assistance to bomb-affected families in Afghanistan;
o When appropriate, assisted the Finance Controller in preparing Budgets for distribution of relief items, for different donors i.e. OFDA, DFID
