Work directly with Cad Designers to review and implement changes to final design
in order to improve manufacturability.
Responsible for manufacturing and inspections of finished product/parts. To ensure to produce quality products/parts that met the organization's objectives & customers satisfaction.
Set up and operates conventional, special-purpose, and manual machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts, and fits & assembles machined parts into complete units, applying knowledge of machine shop theory procedures, machinability of materials, and layout techniques.
•Set up and operate various types of portable machines for machining operations onboard.
•Measure, marks and scribes' dimension's reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining.
•Study sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to define dimensions' tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
•Heat and shrink fit and repair damaged equipment
Fits assembles parts into complete assembly, using jigs, fixtures, surface plate, surface table, hand tools, and power tools.
•Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors like speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut, and clamping methods.
•Fabricate tools, jigs, and fixtures to meet manufacturing and engineering needs.
•Verify dimensions alignment of assembly, using measuring instruments, like micrometers, height gauges, and gauge blocks
•Select, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines, like mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders and drill machines
•Plan and direct the department activities necessary to meet the goals of the department and company in accordance with established quality standards
•Directs, coordinates, plans, and assists scheduling of work for assigned shift
•Train students and newly joined machinists in the proper and safe operation of shop equipment
•Create a work place environment where quality improvement tools are used efectively to achieve world class lean manufacturing operations and achieving competitive excellence (ACE) process objectives
•Manage and approve employees timekeeping in SAP
•Review workload, set priorities and plan daily shop operations
•Perform other related duties as assigned
•Monitor labor hours and overtime and implement time management improvement plans
•Work with the maintenance group to schedule repairs and PPMs
•Maintain disciplinary and technical control of the operating units

After two years apprenticeship the management gave us a permanent job and along with my work I have done Diploma of Associate Engineer in Mechanical Technology (Evening Parogram).
I have done a complete two years ITI/apprenticeship in the field of Machinist 2004-2006. This course was divided into two subdivision, the first part was entirely theoretical and consist of study and the 2nd phase was on job training (OJT). During which I have studied, learnt and worked on all types of machines and machining operations. My professional journey started from this point and I also kept focusing on getting more trainings, short courses which could enhance my strengths and abilities in understanding machines and thier operations.
