• Currently I work as an enterprise level Agile Coach. As a Scaled Agile program consultant (SAFEe SPC 4.5) I am certified to deliver training on the Scaled Agile Framework courses as well as delivering internally developed lean-agile training to scrum teams, scrum masters and product owners. I am supporting Allstate’s agile transformation by advising team managers on how best to structure and setup their teams (tools, ceremonies, etc.) to adopt agile practices.
As well as providing 1-to-1 coaching to scrum masters, product owners and scrum teams, I also support teams in conducting agile assessments, help develop improvement plans, assist in the identification of products, success factors and KPIs to measure team delivery against product success.
• Between January 2017 and January 2018 I worked as a Scrum Master supporting cross-functional teams of developers (project delivery and production support) on their journeys toward agile development (scrum and kanban respectively). Supported the inception of a new product and development of its minimum viable product (MVP).
* Between August 2016 and January 2017 I worked as a senior project manager in charge of managing up to eight concurrent waterfall projects from initiation to project closure. These projects relied on distributed teams of developers in India and Belfast, delivering to business stakeholders in the U.S. and so required good co-ordination, facilitation, communication and stakeholder management skills. Projects were required to comply with SOX compliance and project gating controls.
Adrian joined PwC’s client facing technology advisory team where he currently works as a Senior Consultant. This provided Adrian with the opportunity to work on large scale transformational public and private sector projects in areas such as telecommunications, media, agrochemicals, central government, education, health care and transport. I worked as a project manager within the IT department of Allen & Overy’s Belfast based Shared Service Centre for nearly 4 years. I successfully managed the delivery of a number of large-scale multi-million pound enterprise projects including implementing:
• a CRM and proposal generator system (Thomson Reuter’s Business Development Suite) which was heavily integrated with other enterprise systems such as Active Directory, PeopleSoft and A&O’s finance system.
• a security incident and event management (SIEM) system (leased from Dell Secureworks) which included deploying infrastructure and agreeing supporting processes for the implementation of Network traffic monitoring, server log collection and retention and advanced end-point threat detection (AETD) across all A&O offices.
• a Microsoft SharePoint 2012 platform (servers, backup storage, operating systems, applications and maintenance procedures) and working with other projects to coordinate deployment of their enterprise applications to the platform.
• modifications to an in-house workflow system that allows business users to request document production services.
• vRealize Automation which automates the allocation of resources to quickly deploy virtual infrastructure on a self-service basis.
• a co-ordinated deployment of a standardised desktop image with upgraded suite of applications to 400 PCs in the Belfast office.
• the upgrade of an enterprise electronic document discovery application (Ringtail) used by in-house legal teams to review, categorise and strategise.
• the migration of databases from A&O’s Lotus Notes platform and its decommissioning.
Adrian began his career with TCS, initially receiving further training in India before being assigned to projects in the UK. His role included:
