Works directly with the Chief Investment Officer in taking investment decisions and structuring investment funds to meet specific investors need e.g Private equity fund LLP, Real Estate Fund, REITs et.c. I am also responsible for preparing information memorandum/prospectus for regulatory approval. On regular basis, I value the portfolio by calculating the Net Asset Value (NAV) for clients and regulatory (SEC) reporting.
Led the team of four traders in trade execution and settlements. While carrying out these responsibilities, I ensured prompt and best execution through the use of Volume weighted Average Price (Vwap) strategy. We also generate market information and execute block trades to High Networths Individuals (HNIs) and Institutional Investors, without violating market rules and regulations
Managed the company’s proprietary portfolio and private investors, by formulating and designing investment policy statement (IPS) to meet specific investor’s objectives. As a dealing clerk of the Nigerian stock exchange, all equity transactions are executed by me, through a registered stock broking firm.
Due to my analytical skills, creativity and drive for knowledge, I was seconded to assist the corporate finance units where I acquired several skills in Corporate & Structure finance, leading to creation of Real Estate Investment Trust (REITs) and other structured instruments (Fund) for our corporate clients.
I was responsible for negotiating rates for investment in money market instruments; analyzed market information and research investment oppkortunities before making investment recommendations and actions to the chief investment officer (CIO); sent trade mandates, with the approval of the CIO to stockbrokers on trade execution; update investment reports for investment committee and create risk management report on financial institutions to invest in.
