I continued my profession as an Experienced Systems Engineer with Telenor, ranked #6 among global GSM cellular carriers. My skills were further enhanced when I was given projects as Storage Consolidation, Backup Automation and Server Virtualization to reduce OPEX. Using our existing infrastructure, I was responsible and accountable for the coordinated management of multiple projects directed toward business and organizational objectives, and their ongoing support. Currently focus towards Telenor Private Cloud for efficient provisioning of resources.
Started my career with IBM BCRS as an IT Engineer, I was part of a team that was mainly responsible for managing x86 servers along with Network layer 2/layer 3 support. IBM Sterling Forest supports more than 1700 DR tests each year involving mostly Fortune 500 clients. Using RUP methodology with compliance to SOX-404, we were able to compile projects/tests accordingly to achieve customer’s expected results. I was mainly responsible for allocating resources, before test preparing servers, routers, and switches, during test full support for allocated equipments, along with updating customer servers and network configurations documents.
I continued my career as an onsite consultant with COMCAST i.e. the largest cable service provider in North America. I have worked as a Systems Engineer for COMCAST CVM; here in GUIDEWORKS TV we developed future technology for user navigation of video data streams using Open Standards as OCAP. Comcast was using agile methodology and it was a fast pace project development with continuous flow of information among all teams. I was directly reporting to Project Manager.
