• Review of Project developer/EPC's Plant Design, Water Purchase Agreement, Project Plan, Procurement procedure, and Plant testing procedures
• Verifying the Project developer and EPC is commissioning and testing the plant in a safe manner in accordance with Water Purchase Agreement (WPA)
• Review all relevant testing procedure documentation Trial Run, Reliability Runs, Performance Run and Start-up testing procedures
• Checking and highlighting the plant reliability and integrity issues
• Carry out all necessary inspections in order to confirm the readiness of the project company and plant for the plant acceptance test
• Witness and carrying out all activities comprising the plant acceptance test, review all related documentations and accordingly certify the successful completion of each activity and of the test in accordance with WPA
• Monitoring the commissioning progress and NCR’s for any potential delay in the project progress
• Detailed Design for Instrumentation and Control System
• Preparation of P&ID, IO list, Operation Control Philosophy, Scope of Work, Specifications and test procedures
• Carrying out detailed design coordination with other disciplines.
• Carrying out design reviews at appropriate intervals during the design process
• Review of detail design documentation
• Inspect, Monitor, Test and Commission of installed systems and instruments
• Managing other professionals on a project basis (engineers, AutoCAD technicians, and support staff) and ensure that work produced is to be required quality, produced on time, and within budget
IWP / SWRO Desalination plant - Owners Engineer
• Design Phase: Review of EPC’s Engineering design documents related to SWRO I&C systems, Electrical Systems, Testing procedures and method Statements
• Construction Phase:
a) Monitoring the EPC construction planning, progress related to SWRO I&C systems and Electrical Systems, as per WPA MFS
b) Coordinating for interfaces as per WPA MFS Schedule F with PAEW, OETC, MECA.
c) Inspecting I&C installations & erections
• Testing & Commissioning Phase:
a) Commissioning, Testing / Witnessing and coordinating for WPA Schedule A Tests and Grid Code Test for metering / AMR system
b) Pre-commissioning, Testing / Witnessing I&C systems, Electrical systems, Interfaces and Process Start-ups
c) Commissioning, Testing / Witnessing of process start-ups
d) Trial Run, Reliability Runs, Performance Tests Coordination, Witness and Plant Handing over
• Post COD Phase:
a) As built review for Electrical and ICA systems
b) Snag list closeout testing / inspection
• SWRO desalination plant detailed design for Instrumentation and Control System, Specification preparation
• Preparation of P&ID, IO list, Operation Control Philosophy, Scope of Work, Specifications and test procedures
Water / Waste water / STP Projects:
Design Engineer:
• Professional experience in Designing for Instrumentation/ Control / Automation and SCADA/ DCS system for Water transmission and Waste Water treatment plant Projects
• Reporting to the focal contact in all aspects related to ICA, conceptual designing, preliminary designing, particular specification and report preparation
• Participation in design review workshops with client for reviewing ICA engineering designs
• Proficient in preparation of ICA scope of work, ICA Particular specification and ICA client report preparation related to conceptual and preliminary design
• Involved in maintaining ICA standard specifications to identify and report any required changes
• Involved in development of P&ID’s, preparing specification for instruments and control system
• Participation in HAZOP with client for automation control narrative preparation
• Providing inputs to the design department for design criteria related to ICA
Construction Supervision Engineer:
• Professional experience in Construction Supervision for Instrumentation/ Control and SCADA system
• Reporting to the Project Manager / Resident Engineer, on all aspects of construction supervision, construction/turnarounds & final completion/turnover
• Reviewing Design/Vendor documents and project related Engineering / Commissioning documents
• Agree method statements / test procedures and ensure that work is carried out in accordance with the agreed method statements / test procedures
• Attending RFI’s from Contractor
• Testing / Witnessing of control systems- Software/hardware test, FAT, SAT, Functionality Test
• Review of final vendor documentation and as-built drawings etc
• Clearance of Punch List and Warranty related issues
POWER TRANSMISSION / DISTRIBUTION - SCADA/SCS
Design Engineer:
• Professional experience with international engineering consultancy in designing of Substation Control Systems (SCS) and SCADA for HV transmission projects
• Proficient in preparation of SCS scope of work, particular specification and report preparation for design solutions
Construction Supervision:
• Professional experience in Construction and Supervision for NCC (National Control Centers) SCADA, DCC (Distribution Control Centers) SCADA, SCS (Substation Control Systems)
• Reporting to the Project Manager / Resident Engineer, on all aspects of construction supervision, construction/turnarounds & final completion/turnover
• Testing / Witnessing SCS/ RTU systems- Software/hardware test, FAT, SAT, Functionality Test
• Site Assessment works for ICA for Water / Waste Water / health care sectors
• Secondment works to various clients for instrumentation control & automation engineering
