- Focal person for government liaison to represent and promote the HI strategic vision for Cox’s Bazar in coordination meetings with government authorities and with negotiation make balance between government strategy and HI strategy.
- Monitor the security situation in the field regularly and analyze the context and propose adaptation of security and safety guidelines and actively contribute to the revision of field risks analysis to ensure security.
- Represent HI in different field coordination meetings as well as organize weekly base meetings at field offices to share general updates, track progress, identify key operational challenges and provide necessary advices for solution.
- In close collaboration with the Area Manager, ensure compliance with HI’s mandate, ethical values, policies, rules and regulations as well as ensure that participatory and inclusive internal communication practice is in place, implemented, and monitored.
- Supervise and coach three project management teams through direct line management of three Project Managers to ensure project implementation complies with donor contractual requirements and HI’s PME policy to achieve high-standard project implementation.
- To manage the Support Service Unit in Cox’s Bazar to ensure that HI procedures are implemented and respected regarding logistic management (site and equipment management, procurement and stock management, transport and vehicle management), finance management (planning, validation, and follow up of expenditures and budget management) and HR management (internal rules and regulations, HR policies and procedures by staffs, develop local capacities, and identify capacity-development needs).
- Represent HI in different sector coordination meetings as well as produce sector wise 4W reports and develop internal weekly sitrep by capitalizing these experience and context analysis.
- Provide regular update to the Field Coordinator, Country Director and Programme Coordinator on all issues pertaining to the management of the projects in Cox’s Bazar and partner relations, while highlighting challenges faced and possible solutions envisaged.
- Managing the activities in order to ensure the good achievement of the project’s results and objectives as specified in grant agreements.
- Ensure appropriate line management to support talent in the team, work-personal life balance and wellbeing of staff (including, but not limited to, ensuring adequate working conditions for the staff in project and appropriate staff complaint/feedback.
- Support the development and maintenance of positive and constructive partnerships, smooth communication and cooperation between HI and partners and other stakeholders.
- Design and develop project budget by keeping consideration about need and with consultation with team as well as managing and following up the funds allocated to the project in line with both HI and donors procedures.
- Initiate, design and facilitate training for partner staff and teachers to build their capacities for children’s better learning and monitor their performances and provide necessary feedback.
- Monitoring the child protection issues and take necessary action regarding child protection issue with the guidance of line manager and child protection team members.
- Lead feasibility studies, exploratory missions, needs assessments, research, etc. and analyze the results and develop report accordingly.
- Motivate parents and school authorities to ensure enrolment of children with disabilities in mainstream schools and form peer group to support those children with disabilities in school, study, play, movement.
- Design the first ever inclusive education module for HI Bangladesh and conduct the training accordingly as well as develop the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) for each of children with disabilities.
- Distribute education recreation items to develop the cognitive and psychomotor skills of children with disabilities.
- Facilitate the classes of children with disabilities as per developed IEP and lesson plan.
- Ensure evaluation question paper to measure the performance of children with disabilities.
- Ensure disability friendly and child friendly environment for children with disabilities for school.
Successfully complete a thesis on "The Identifying Factors of Drop out in the Mainstream Primary School for the Children with Hearing Impairment".
Did an internship for 6 (Six) months at a special school on "Practical teaching with children with Autism and Intellectual Disabilities".
