• Oversee insurance plans and trend direction with the aim of creating a focused product package.
• Administrate Reinsurance Treaties for the Life Department through all stages through 7 direct insurance companies in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Qatar, Iraq, Cyprus & Yemen and international reinsurance companies.
• Prepare Analysis of portfolio and formulation of strategy and Reinsurance placement.
• Coordination of reinsurance related issues with group and non-group partners.
• Preparation of Management annual and monthly reports.
• Compile data related to claims to determine reinsurance eligibility.
• Research and audit of reinsurance data to ensure compliance with contract terms and validation of data integrity.
• Check the information received from SAC and ensure they are correct, accurate, complete and in order.
• Distribution of SAC premiums as well as paid claims & outstanding claims all in accordance to the applicable reinsurance program and on timely basis.
• Compiling quarterly bordereaux to respective SAC to be signed by superiors, ready for dispatching on quarterly basis to SAC, reinsurers, and ARO Accounts Department.
• Preparing SAC Treaty reinsurance slips, cover notes and wordings and checks retrocession Treaty cover notes / wording.
• Assisting the Superiors in the placement of facultative risks and in the preparation of slips/ closing.
• Preparing Debit/ Credit Notes for facultative risks and excess of loss premiums and losses.
• Gather data and conduct evaluation to determine risk in order to scale rates and approve insurance coverage.
• Review insurance proposals to determine appropriate levels of insurance coverage.
• Examine documents to determine degree of risk from such factors as applicant financial standing and value and condition of property.
• Evaluate customer suitability for insurance coverage
• Apply various underwriting techniques and standards to ensure accurate analysis.
• Utilize propriety risk assessment software to develop exposure levels and ratings while determining premiums.
• Developing Underwriting Manuals explaining Underwriting, Reinsurance, products rates benefits & other useful information.
