The role is to train and coach employees in MBS principles, to participate in its deployment and an effective implementation of solutions towards business results
• Responsible for implementing the Lean Manufacturing concepts in all aspect of process improvement
• Define the proper tools and equipment availability, utilization including calibration, workforce internal training and methods analysis
• Provide support to each sector for the implementation of SIM production, including support for implementing 5S system, KAIZEN procedures to each workstation.
• Involvement in lean manufacturing project by:
o Participating in reorganizing the production lines in the factory
o Sharing in daily SIM meeting and providing necessary action for the improvement of the process
o Conducting 5S system audit in the shop floor, stores, and in the offices, including the practice of ergonomics directives
o Establishing work instruction for production lines
This course offers a qualification to practising engineers in management with advanced engineering skills and knowledge. It will provide analytical tools and methods required to improve operational efficiencies, typically within manufacturing and service organisations. It also provides technical skills in quality control and improvement, organisational infrastructure management (transportation, water, energy, buildings and telecommunications), and the development of decision support systems. Students in Engineering management will learn how to facilitate the flow of information between all business functions inside the organisation and manages connections to outside stakeholders. Students will acquire knowledge in a range of strategies and practices used in an organisation to identify, create, represent, distribute and enable adoption of insights and experiences. These practices focus on organisational objectives such as competitive advantages, innovation, the sharing of lessons learned, integration and continuous improvement of the organisation.
