• Identifies, troubleshoots and resolves system hardware and software problems on all Windows/UNIX systems.
• Implements, manages and administrates user and email accounts, network file share rights, and security roles by performing account and system administration (Active Directory accounts, application and system accounts).
• Installs, configures, tests, troubleshoots, administrates, monitors, and maintains various operating systems, associated software, servers, networking, clustering, storage, and software applications; reviews, deploys application and anti-virus releases, patches, and updates.
• Takes overall responsibility for the second level operation, controlling, monitoring, and performance-tuning of SAN Storage Infrastructure, ensuring high levels of data quality, availability and security and implementing best industry practices storage architectures procedures are observed.
• Perform the Incident Management, Request Management, and Change Management activities within the scope of operation.
• Monitor availability and performance of Storage Services to ensure that agreed service levels are met, using tools, processes and systems.
• Performs Request Management activities such as SAN storage provisioning (add, remove, extend, logical decommission of Storage Array, LUNs and SAN ports/switches).
• Involves in execution of relevant SAN storage infrastructure Project tasks.
• Propose proactive/improvement initiatives towards efficiency in SAN Storage operations and implement resolutions as appropriate.
• Closely monitors SLA and KPI are delivered to customers and ensure that proper customer expectation are achieved.
• Maintains relationship with external business and act as the first point contact regarding technical issues.
• Performs daily health check on backup server to enable business continuity and operational backup and recovery capabilities for business applications.
• Works with other Teams (Windows, UNIX, DBAs, etc.) in order to troubleshoot backup miss/failures and resolves issues.
• Troubleshoots and resolves issues with tape library and media server.
• Performs Tape Management activities (loading scratch, reclaiming, etc.).
• Adds/Removes clients/ Changes to backup schedule/ Performs data restores.
• Provides reports related to backup and restore performance upon request.
• Performs security & compliance checks based on technical specifications.
• Provides recommendations for improvement of the Backup & Recovery solution according to Industry best practices.
• Performs Datacenter migration methods and DR testing & implementations.
• Develops and maintains detail documentation according to Compliance & Audit requirement and user guideline.
• Manage internal support activities (helpdesk); assure SLs are met;
• Participates in the development of the Annual Audit Plan (AAP) based on the results of risk assessment exercise.
• Surveys functions and activities, in assigned areas, to determine the nature of the operations and the adequacy of the system of control.
• Determines the auditing procedures to be utilized, including the use of Information Systems Audit Techniques, statistical sampling or others.
• Identifies high risk areas & key control points of the system to be reviewed.
• Performs and / or supervises audits in accordance with the approved audit program and professional standards.
• Prepares Punch list and / or reviews working papers, which record and summarize data and the results of the audit examination.
• Ensure that QMS/QEMS systems are implemented and maintained in accordance with requirements of ISO 9001:2008/ ISO 14001:20
• Visits Site for inspection and see any problems & Technical queries are properly and timely resolved.
• Reports, Maintains and Investigates Material Discrepancy report
• Raises Non Conformity Report (NCR) relating to Product, Process.
• Investigate Root cause & initiate corrective action on audit recommendations/improvement options.
