• Identifies, troubleshoots and resolves system hardware and software problems on all Windows/UNIX systems.
• Implements, manages and administrates user and email accounts, network file share rights, and security roles by performing account and system administration (Active Directory accounts, application and system accounts).
• Installs, configures, tests, troubleshoots, administrates, monitors, and maintains various operating systems, associated software, servers, networking, clustering, storage, and software applications; reviews, deploys application and anti-virus releases, patches, and updates.
• Takes overall responsibility for the second level operation, controlling, monitoring, and performance-tuning of SAN Storage Infrastructure, ensuring high levels of data quality, availability and security and implementing best industry practices storage architectures procedures are observed.
• Perform the Incident Management, Request Management, and Change Management activities within the scope of operation.
• Monitor availability and performance of Storage Services to ensure that agreed service levels are met, using tools, processes and systems.
• Performs Request Management activities such as SAN storage provisioning (add, remove, extend, logical decommission of Storage Array, LUNs and SAN ports/switches).
• Involves in execution of relevant SAN storage infrastructure Project tasks.
• Propose proactive/improvement initiatives towards efficiency in SAN Storage operations and implement resolutions as appropriate.
• Closely monitors SLA and KPI are delivered to customers and ensure that proper customer expectation are achieved.
• Maintains relationship with external business and act as the first point contact regarding technical issues.
• Performs daily health check on backup server to enable business continuity and operational backup and recovery capabilities for business applications.
• Works with other Teams (Windows, UNIX, DBAs, etc.) in order to troubleshoot backup miss/failures and resolves issues.
• Troubleshoots and resolves issues with tape library and media server.
• Performs Tape Management activities (loading scratch, reclaiming, etc.).
• Adds/Removes clients/ Changes to backup schedule/ Performs data restores.
• Provides reports related to backup and restore performance upon request.
• Performs security & compliance checks based on technical specifications.
• Provides recommendations for improvement of the Backup & Recovery solution according to Industry best practices.
• Performs Datacenter migration methods and DR testing & implementations.
• Develops and maintains detail documentation according to Compliance & Audit requirement and user guideline.
• Manage internal support activities (helpdesk); assure SLs are met;
• Participates in the development of the Annual Audit Plan (AAP) based on the results of risk assessment exercise.
• Surveys functions and activities, in assigned areas, to determine the nature of the operations and the adequacy of the system of control.
• Determines the auditing procedures to be utilized, including the use of Information Systems Audit Techniques, statistical sampling or others.
• Identifies high risk areas & key control points of the system to be reviewed.
• Performs and / or supervises audits in accordance with the approved audit program and professional standards.
• Prepares Punch list and / or reviews working papers, which record and summarize data and the results of the audit examination.
• Ensure that QMS/QEMS systems are implemented and maintained in accordance with requirements of ISO 9001:2008/ ISO 14001:20
• Visits Site for inspection and see any problems & Technical queries are properly and timely resolved.
• Reports, Maintains and Investigates Material Discrepancy report
• Raises Non Conformity Report (NCR) relating to Product, Process.
• Investigate Root cause & initiate corrective action on audit recommendations/improvement options.
• Investigates & resolves problems through system modifications, repairs data manipulation, the development of work around or site specific enhancements and system reconfigurations where necessary.
• Updates / changes operating procedures accordingly and ensures that users and staff are adequately trained.
• Applies available standards, methods and tools to define, plan and justify (in business terms) projects to develop / implement automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes.
• Creates, tests and maintain disaster recovery plans for information systems which supports business processes using analysis methods, tools, and techniques as appropriate to identify potential exposure of all logical, physical and procedural exposure components of the information.
• Responsible for the implementation of projects and enhancements to existing systems.
• Undertakes investigations and diagnosis of area of concerns, and optimizes the use of installed system monitoring and analysis facilities to ensure accurate and cost effective reporting.
• Assists with the production of schedules of requests for change for managing change to a live infrastructure, as well as maintain provision of awareness material to clients / users to explain the importance of a structured change management process.
• Controls, monitors and maintains the configuration management system and controls changes to all configuration items and structures.
• Provide 24x7 operational and maintenance supports (on-call) to the users of the applications and Receives user complaints related to Application Systems and provides support to ensure problem resolution.
• Performs full system development including user requirement specification, technical design, development, data migration, deployment, support, maintenance, deliver quality improvements and root-cause analysis, conduct user acceptance tests (FAT, IFAT and SAT), communicate with end-users to ensure a common understanding of the requirements, document user’s manual, release final application to end-users and manage the information systems, products and services that support the internal operations of BOROUGE within a framework of agreed budgets and sectional guidelines, with the objective of ensuring users requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner.
• Under minimal supervision, plans and directs the development, installation, maintenance, enhancement, upgrade and modification of the applications on large-scale multi-user systems like (MES System Infrastructure (Oracle Database), Lab Information Management System (LIMS), Operation Orders & Packing Orders (Oracle), Recipe History & Execution (Oracle), Performance Monitoring & Reporting (Oracle), EU Cost Allocation (Oracle), PE Cost Tracking (Oracle), Regulatory Reporting(Oracle), Incident Reporting-KMS (DS&S), Inspection Data Management-CREDO (Credosoft), and Production Planning and Scheduling (Aspentech MIMI).
• Communicates and coordinates with IT & End-users Managers, team members, vendors (Software/Hardware) and consultancy Firms.
• Prepares documentation for all programming changes and modifications to the system to maintain a complete record of all aspects of the system.
• Implements and coordinates LIMS upgrade project tasks using test environment considering existing interfaces with MES applications and variety of lab instruments.
• Develops, maintains and modifies custom document types and attributes based on BOROUGE standards of document types & numbering system.
• Develops EDMS queries using DQL language to get statistical reports on stored documents based on criteria derived from the associated attributes to serve the DCC requirements and records management.
