Supervise and maintain workflow within the logistic department.
Responsible of all the offshore shipments from Europe, Asia, North and South America to Africa.
Manage company's claims and sales contracts.
Scope of Tasks
• Coordinate the shipment of goods from the Supplier to the destination port are arranged and completed in a timely manner
• Be attentive to transit times and documents submission deadlines, helping to find suitable transporting solutions with suppliers and sales managers
• Make sure documents are compliant to each country’s customs regulation
• Keep regular contact with the suppliers and sales managers for updates on the status of the shipments and escalate accordingly when necessary
• Make sure that all necessary and requested documents are in place for each order and completed correctly
• Monitor shipments developments as ETAs and due dates to keep the system updated
• Ensure documents are received on time by the customer according to the chosen payment term, and liaising the same with the sales managers
• Banking documents export collect completion
• Logging all logistics related issues into the incident folder and updating the ‘Customer Complaint Form’ on claims related to the area
• Maintain a proper filing system in respect to all incoming and outgoing documents related to the orders
• Work with forwarders to provide transport quotation when needed
• Keep regular contact with the Insurance company to insure Customer shipments and handle Customer claims.
