• Provided Occupational Therapy intervention and assessment, in different areas; Fine motor skills (handwriting, typing and tool use), Gross motor skills (balance, coordination), sensory processing difficulties, self-care skills (dressing, toileting), social-emotional and communication skills, functional academics and executive functioning to more than 20 clients and students within a variety of disabilities, including ASD, developmental delays, cerebral palsy, intellectual disabilities and other disabilities, within a wide age group (7-28).
• Provided individual and group therapy sessions; both in and outside of the classroom setting, incorporating evidence-based practices and interventions to help students and clients achieve their set IEP goals, adapting and modifying activities and materials to ensure success
• Collaborated with therapists, teachers, parents and other school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) or Transition Plans, as well as documenting students'/clients' progress.
• Participated in parents' meetings with teachers and other therapists to discuss, monitor and make adjustments as needed to the clients' IEP, as well as providing consultation and strategies to them, in an evidence based, family-centered approach
• Lead the pre-vocational program; Simple projects that provide a sellable out product (i.e. beading, soap making, pickled foods, diamond painting different bookmarks, coasters and paintings) that are later marketed on different social media websites that are led by the students
• Lead the vocational training program: On-site job training in different restaurants (Including Shams El-Balad restaurant) and hotels (including Mövenpick hotel) and a vocational training center (Al-Bunayat Center for Special Education); which has different units, including woodwork, ceramics, mosaics, weaving and horticulture.
• Social Committee Member; Organized and executed monthly social events for employees, aiming to enhance the social interaction between employees, for a more healthy, friendly and collaborative work environment
• Managed and mentored a team of 3 therapists and special-education teachers
