Follow instruction and guidance from Analyst, Supervisor & Lab Leader on all lab activities.
Performs collection of water / solid samples and keeping the sampling area free from sample spillages.
Performs filling of dosing chemicals, adjustment of dosing pump strokes, and cleaning of dosing areas under the supervision of Analyst.
Performs the daily recording of dosing tanks level and dosing pump strokes.
Performs cleaning of glass wares, lab work areas, fume hood and house- keeping.
Assist the Analyst and Lab. Supervisor in chemicals/glassware/equipment inventory.
Assist during chemical unloading activity.
Follow safety rules & operating standards during working hours.
Perform any other related job that maybe assigned by the Lab Manager, Lab Leader, Supervisor and Analyst

Coordinate to the supervisor in time of start-up and shut down of equipment in the designated areas of responsibilities.

Assist the shift supervisor in the performance of periodic protection tests.
Perform equipment change over according to preset schedules.
Coordinate with shift supervisor for isolating and line up the equipment and system. Raise work request for faulty equipment.
Shift take over - review with outgoing shift control operator the activities of the previous shift such as, tripping, shut-downs, start-ups, deviations from normal operating standards, etc. to ensure that continuing problems are handled as necessary.
Review log book from previous shift to determine condition/status of each unit Check parameters, alarms, unit load, steam production, communicate with LDC relating to system export requirements, take corrective action in respect of deviations according to established procedures and report to Assistant Shift Charge Engineer or further advice and action.
Coordinate with Field Operators and Assistant Shift Charge Engineer to resolve deviations from normal standards and problems on the network. Include isolating equipment and auxiliaries, operating the electrical system, switching of the network, synchronizing and de-synchronizing generators in coordination with LDC, etc. to carry out maintenance and as required
checking panel readings, sensors and alarms, LFO tank levels, battery chargers, UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply), perform needed housekeeping activities and report abnormalities to shift supervision for further action
Act as first response to emergency situations; take appropriate steps to stabilize the problem as much as possible while simultaneously informing the shift in-charge and other parties as indicated in the procedures to safeguard unit and possibly personnel.
Respond immediately to emergencies, including fires, to mitigate and rescue Plant equipment and/or personnel during emergency situations.
Follow all relevant safety, quality and environmental control procedures and instructions so that personal safety/the safety of others is not jeopardized and a minimum level of product/service quality and environmental impact can be guaranteed.
Follow all relevant operational procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
