As a Procurement Manager at Concrete Plus, I lead the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for major construction projects, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality sourcing of materials, subcontractors, and services. I manage a team of procurement engineers and coordinate closely with project management, planning, cost control, and technical departments to align procurement strategies with project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project timelines, budgets, and contract requirements.

Manage sourcing, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and finalization of contracts with suppliers and subcontractors (including FIDIC-based contracts).

Oversee vendor prequalification, performance evaluation, and relationship management to ensure quality and compliance.

Coordinate with engineering and technical teams for reviewing material submittals and technical compliance.

Manage purchase orders, subcontracts, and service agreements within ERP systems (Odoo), ensuring accuracy and traceability.

Mitigate procurement risks, track market trends, and ensure adherence to local/international procurement standards.

Support budgeting and cost-saving initiatives by optimizing procurement processes and leveraging supplier competition.

Lead, train, and mentor a team of 4 procurement engineers, enhancing team performance and procurement operations.

Maintain alignment with HSE, sustainability, and company quality standards across all procurement activities.

Led a structural engineering design team at ECG, delivering high-quality solutions for major building and infrastructure projects in Egypt and the Gulf region. Responsible for preparing and reviewing structural drawings, design calculations, and tender documents in compliance with international codes (ACI, BS, Eurocode). Coordinated with architecture, MEP, and site teams to ensure integrated and clash-free designs. Conducted value engineering studies to optimize structural systems. Participated in client and consultant meetings to present and defend design approaches. Contributed to QA/QC reviews and mentored junior engineers to maintain technical excellence and timely delivery.
