I am working as IT Executive System Administration in Enterprise Systems Team (IT Datacenter), Warid Telecom (Pvt) Ltd, placed at Lahore office with following responsibilities:
Performance monitoring and system administration of Unix/Linux servers on cross platform hardware of Sun Sparc and x86 machines based on CLI tools, Syslog, Solarwinds NMS.
Monitoring and administration of Storage Area Networks.
Installation of Operating Systems, configurations, applications and utilities in production environment.
Managing backups through Veritas Netbackup and tape libraries.
Defining policies and procedures for Systems and DataCenter
Escalation of hardware level issues with vendors.
LOS Survey visits (checking LOS for micro wave path)
Using Hand - Held GPS device
General concepts of Micro wave Planning
Working on the software:
PATH LOSS (Generating Path Profile for LOS using Path loss)
Map Info (Creating nominal connectivity using Map info)
