• As the a Lead Educator and Administrator of the organization, helps teachers, staff, parents and students understand and implement the best practices of education in the classroom and in all activities that involve the organization.
• Shepherds the organization in model, vision, mission, and advancement.
• Attends to the intellectual, spiritual, social, emotional and physical growth of each child and partners with faculty and each child’s parent(s) in these efforts.
• Builds and trains a highly qualified and effective faculty and staff.
• Actively manages the organization’s educational program, operating finances, facility, administrative staff and duties.
• Oversees day-to-day operations, while mitigating any conflict within the school community.
• Works collaboratively with Board of Trustees’ Enrollment Committee, HR Committee, Admissions Committee, Outreach Committee, and other Ad Hoc committees as directed by the Board of Trustees.
• Supports Board initiatives in special projects and strategic initiatives.
• Oversees the daily overall operation of the organization, administrative staff and office functions.
• Conducts daily “walk throw” to observe teachers and students in action, connect quickly with parents serving in various roles, redirect student behavior, and help ensure safety of all.
• Actively engages with teachers, students, parents and staff to understand and proactively manage issues and concerns before they escalate.
• Communicates openly and frequently with appropriate Board committees and involved parties to ensure all are aware of issues. Consults with and seeks consensus with appropriate Committee before taking action that impacts community, enrollment or staffing.
• Manages the annual operating plan, sets short-term objectives, and measures progress and achievement.
• Helps determine Faculty and Staff salaries and contractual obligations along with appropriate Board committee; disseminates contracts and collects signed contracts; writes performance reports to review with employees and for use in Salary and Bonus decision process.
• Oversees the development of technology for instructional and administrative purposes.
• Creates the Calendar in collaboration with Board, Faculty and Staff. Coordinates with appropriate leaders at a year in advance, and actively communicates to confirm events throughout the year.
• Works with all appropriate parties to ensure the safety of the school environment and facilities. Communicates needs and collaboratively works with the Board to define and execute upon a long-term facilities strategy.

 Teach and assess competencies in a range of SEN and Teacher/Trainer related areas
 Develop and share curriculum, teaching methods and resources
 Advise and assist students to develop their educational and career plans. Raise awareness of the
facilities and support available
 Perform a range of administrative duties associated with teaching, learning and assessment.
 Ensure the observance of appropriate safety, health, welfare, security and good housekeeping
standards
 Ensure the principles of equal opportunity in education and employment are applied to all staff and
students, as appropriate in the UAE cultural context
 Provide advice and assistance to students, employers and members of the community and generally
promote technical and further education and the Institute
 Be involved in and assist as required within the corporate life of the Institute meeting quality

I work with legally required federal paperwork called an IEP, or Individualized Educational Plan, that outlines the necessary supports, accommodations and goals for an individual child. These goals I use can help me encompass both academic and behavioral concerns. Also in some situations I direct meetings with parents and staff regarding the plan and make necessary adjustments throughout the year. In the classroom, I work with children who can vary from mild disabilities, using specialized techniques to help them reach their goals. I hold a bachelors degree in special education, and currently working on my master degree.
