Responsible in Supervision Execution and Maintenance of required
mechanical systems which includes but not limited to HVAC, Fire
Fighting, Fire Protection (FM200, Foam sprinklers), Plumbing/
Drainage incorporating local and international codes,
regulations, calculations and software for wide range of projects
from small-scale and large- scale developments.
Responsible in undertaking the review and approval of
mechanical engineering design package including drawings,
specifications and other form of documentation prior to
submission.
Providing assistance in the preparation of bill of quantities and
specifications (prepared in QCS format) to QS Team on
Mechanical Scope of Work.
Close coordination with Authorities with Jurisdiction to obtain
approvals for Mechanical systems and attending meetings
whenever required.
Close coordination with other discipline team leaders during the
design stage in order to have fully integrated design. Familiar with
internationally recognized mechanical codes and standards, plumbing
code, NFPA, QCS, etc.
Identified potential hazards during commissioning activities,
participates in technical meetings, raises punch lists during
performance tests and provide support to operations and
maintenance teams in various stages of project activities. Coordinate
with all relevant stakeholders to resolve technical issues, punch lists
during pre-commissioning and commissioning stages till the projects
are successfully commissioned and handed over.
Key Deliverable Key deliverables include supply, installation, testing & commissioning of all Fire Fighting, Plumbing & Drainage Services
➢ To prepare material submittals including the required schedules, Engineering Calculation, compliance statements etc. and follow up with the consultants for approval.
➢ Review consultant’s design and specification and submit RFIs in case of any discrepancies found
➢ Ensure for all Mechanical works carried out are as per approved shop drawings and within the time frame and progress of the approved construction program ➢Ensure that the installation, inspection and testing of all the Mechanical equipment, fittings and work implemented meets the specification and the consultant requirements
➢ Verify the accuracy of shop drawings and their compliance to the specification, consultant’s design, and existing local authority standard.
➢ Complete responsibility to decide on day to day work that needs to be carried out by subordinates including scheduling of activities, assigning task to groups or individuals, accuracy of work conducted, supplying resources and dealing with operational issues and problems.
➢ Attending weekly progress meetings with client, consultant & main contractor
➢ Attending site walks related to work progress, safety etc.
➢ Coordinating with client’s project maintenance team during project execution for smooth handing over of project
➢ Coordinate with other project personnel to ensure that deadlines, procedures, and other project requirements are met.
➢ Co-ordinate with Draftsman to prepare coordination drawings, shop drawings & Builders Work drawings based on the tender drawings and follow up with the consultants for approval.
➢ To prepare O & M Manual including original catalogues, Maintenance schedules etc. and follow up with the consultants for approval.
➢ Will be part of contractor’s maintenance team till completion of DLP
Key Deliverable Reviewing of design & drawing during initial stages for all mechanical services & coordinating with consultants and architects for any deviations / changes
➢ Tracking of progress of activities at site and carries out necessary reporting for the progress updates
➢ Monitoring of project with respect to standards of procedures
➢ Planning, scheduling & monitoring of various activities on daily basis
➢ Monitoring of quality of works for all Mechanical Services (FF, Plumbing & Drainage etc.)
➢ Ensuring for the execution of project as per planned schedules
➢ Coordination between architects, consultants, contractors & vendors for all work disciplines
➢ Coordinating with design consultants for timely approval of drawings & submittals
➢ Establishing the productivity norms for different installations & implementing the same
➢ Involved in techno-commercial discussions & negotiations held with the contractors before award of the works
➢ Managing project activities involving working out various requirements with respect to utilities, machines, manpower & monitoring overall project operations for ensuring timely completion and optimal utilization of resources
➢ Conducting construction coordination meetings with subcontractors, consultant and resolving field conflicts and problems, reviewing progress against programs, reviewing drawings and materials against project specification.
Key Deliverable Key deliverables include supply, installation, commissioning, testing & balancing of Mechanical Services.
➢ Taking off the quantities from the drawings for ordering the materials for the execution of all mechanical services.
➢ Selection of equipment’s such as Pumps, Fire Pumps, Booster Pumps, etc. based on consultant’s specifications / requirements of approved standards.
➢ To prepare material submittals including the required schedules, Engineering Calculation, compliance statements etc. and follow up with the consultants for approval.
➢ Material Inspection with Main Contractor and consultant to get clearance for installation
➢ Supervising & installation of Mechanical Services (FF, Plumbing & Drainage etc.)
➢ Checking Contract Drawing & specification. Raising all the design, technical and construction issue with main contractor and Consultant through RFI. Solving technical issue related design and construction with Consultant & Main Contractor.
➢ Co-ordinate with Draftsman to prepare shop drawings & Builders Work drawings based on the tender drawings and follow up with the consultants for approval.
➢ Co-ordinate with Draftsman and other services departments to prepare coordination drawings.
➢ To prepare O & M Manual including original catalogues, Maintenance schedules etc. and follow up with the consultants for approval.
➢ Testing & commissioning activities.
