MIS Manager
KRBMC ventured into ERP implementation and selected Industrial and Financial Systems (IFS) as their ERP solution. I worked as MIS Manager and I was also responsible in making feasibilities with my General Manager and preparing reports on new business prospects that KRBMC planned to venture in the future.
As a department manager, I was responsible for all the departmental objectives and runnunig IFS implementation project at KRBMC in the areas of Financials and Supply Chain, covering project management and analysis, documentation, imparting education & training, software prototyping, trouble shooting, requirements identification, analysis, procedure handling and implementation. In additional to staff management, users support. I was responsible of runing the Financials part of the application including budget, costing, inventory accounting, Financials setup and year end proccesses. In additional to financial stataments & Auditors`s requirments.
My responsibilities also included coordination with software and solution suppliers to persue and implement enhancements to areas of automation within KRBMC.
Integrated Systems Group (ISG), a subsidiary of ISIS, a leading software house in Egypt, providing software solutions to clients. ISG was the local partner in Egypt for different international software suppliers including Baan, Clientele and Fourth Shift.
Responsible for implementation support of Foruth Shift and Baan software in Egypt. Leading a team of implementers and programmers I was responsible for managing projects, conducting education, software prototyping, trouble shooting, procedure handling and documentation, identifying and analysing customization and interfacing areas, designing and getting them developed & finally implementation of the software.
As part of new business development, my responsibilities also included preparing proposals for prospective clients, coordination with agencies including PSPD, USAID, EXPOLINK, INFOCUS and GMT for exploring future business prospects.
As part of the MENA partners for Fourth Shift, we were responsible for selling and supporting Fourth Shift solution in the MENA region. An a Senior Conslutant, I was responsible for pre and post-sales support for the software.
As part of pre-sales support, I was responsible for solution designing, demo presentations, proposal preparation and submission to prespective customers. As part of post-sales support, I was responsible for managing projects, consulting, training, prototyping, implementation and post-implementation audit. Worked with customers in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Cyprus.
Integrated Systems Group (ISG), a leading software house in Egypt, providing software solutions to clients. At this time, ISG was the local partner for NCR and Fourth Shift. Joined the company as Software Specialist and rose to the position of Pre-Sales Consultant.
Initially worked as a core-technical support engineer doing analysis, designing and development under Unix, Xenix, DOS, Novel and Windows platform environments in Informix and Sybase databases using varioius development tools including 4GL, Informix SQL, Power Builder and Oracle. Involved in development of various application modules including Human Resource Management, Fixed Assets Tracking, L/C Tracking and Cash Flow Management.
As member of the Fourth Shift ERP system implementation, I performed different activities including customer support, consulting / problem solving, managing implementation team resources, performing customization and enhancements on the software, documentation and attending customer calls.
Worked with a financial institution as an Accountant where my responsibilities included document processing, transaction verificaiton, processing and posting, prepartion of financial analysis and reports for management decision making.
