Key Roles:
• Managing chemicals time charter fleet, and dealing with counterparties and ensuring counterparty risk is properly controlled, ensuring appropriate cost control on chartered tonnage by creating accurate estimation.
• Overseeing functions including custom documentation, ship loading / discharging, storage and delivery of cargo to the receivers, trucking, freight forwarding, handling crew changes, stores and spares clearing and delivery, etc.
• Developing the shipping trading strategies periodically, as well as, monitoring and adjusting positions based on trading limits, coordinating trading teams to ensure all contracts and fixtures for chartered tonnage are on back to back terms with deals.
• Conceptualizing long term time charter and other contracts with ship owners and brokers as well as handling Aramco overseas office chemicals chartering and shipping deals.
• Supervising, directing and strategically governing all shipping operational activities on a daily basis, ensuring all shipping, post fixture activities are executed within specified time frames.
• Carrying out daily activities of rate procurement, terms and conditions negotiations with Vessel owners, finalizing the contract, post fixture activities, vessel chartering and vetting of the vessels.
• Procuring the best rates for the contractual cargo and turn the booking into Profit and negotiate terms and conditions with owners to conclude a low risk contract in favor of the organization.
• Facilitating effective support to tending / bidding team to prepare the bid documents with proper technical assessments, vessel vetting, budgetary rates against the RFQs etc.
• Managed and operated overall chartered tonnage and negotiated claims on various functions, including quality, quantity, and container damage, and demurrage, detention from/to buyers, suppliers/shipping lines.
• Monitored and directed the preparation of stowage plans, voyage estimates, and port disbursements along with payments to port authorities, remittances of freights, exchange control procedures and freight invoices.
• Maintained high service standards, practices and exercised quality control in all areas of operations, raised systems and operations to peak performance levels through creative, hands-on leadership.
• Carried out effective interaction with ship owners and brokers to obtain intelligence in order to develop a forward view of the shipping market and identify opportunities leading to lower chartering rates.

• Liaised with internal and external counter-parties on operational requirements, including Letter of Credit, invoicing, demurrage calculations, claims, loading and discharging activities.
• Prepared sales and purchase contracts and contract counter to supplier and buyers.
