Responsibilities Implement and executes all banquet operational and administrative system Oversee all day-to-day banquet operation,
supervise all staff in opening duties, execution of functions and closing procedures Approve weekly schedule and monitor to ensure staffing is optimal to business needs Ensure a clean, safe and orderly work area, both front and back of house for guests and employees
Responsible for the proper usage and good working order of all equipment, furniture and fixtures in the Banquet and Catering Section in the shift assigned.
Responsible for consistently implementing the service standards and operating procedures in the banquet and Catering service.
Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer needs are met.
Provide unique and creative ideas to enhance meetings & group experience.
Should posses in depth Knowledge of Food and Beverage preparation and presentation.
Supervise events and team members throughout service.
Guide the Banquet servers in set up of tables and place settings.
Be familiar with all current and upcoming event details.
Resolve staff and customer concerns quickly and efficiently.
Co-ordinate with the Kitchen and housekeeping department.
Assisting in the running and execution of all functions and events within the hotel
Running smaller functions as necessary
Delivering outstanding customer service to guests and ensuring that all requests are met and satisfaction is achieved.
Overseeing the Conference and Banqueting waiters and assigning them daily tasks
Assist with the training and development of staff
Ensuring the highest service standards are maintained on a consistent basis
Adhering to Health and Safety procedures at all time
Working alongside other hotel departments to ensure all events run smoothly and as per guest requirements
Communication of all relevant information to the necessary departments either during or following events

Coordinates with the event host on all aspects of the banquet function.
Performs planning and organisation functions for the banqueting department like maintaining the banquet logbook, maintaining and updating function sheets / BEO etc.
Checks banquet rooms, service, and kitchen areas for cleanliness, proper set up, and make sure supplies and equipment are available for the function.
Adhering to all banquet standard process and also hotel standard policies and procedures.
Supervises and trains staff in the service of food and beverages according to standards.
Discuss any last minute changes with the banquet team.
Ensure all guest requirements are set and ready 30 minutes before event start time.
Coordinates function details with banquet, conference planning, and kitchen staff.
Meet and greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
