Plan, Coordinate, Implement & Control all activities of planning department (i.e. Routine & Non-Routine Maintenance work planning, major Overhauls / maintenance programs) in line with standard planning procedures, applicable HSE standards and asset management best practices to support safe, reliable & efficient operation of KAUST facilities and meet the annual & long term objectives set for the department.

*Administrative work including statistical analysis, MMS & quality system implementations, and coordination with other services.
*Coordinates seminars, training programs, and courses to improve competence.
*Initiates approves and follows -up material requisition to ensure adequacy.
*Provide technical support to units as deemed necessary.
*Conduct periodic inspection to units to check the proper operation and to evaluate performance Support and ensure Royal visits readiness.
*Follows up the commissioning of new facility or modification with QA/QC / subcontractor according to company established practices.
*Seeks experts’ advice as needed.

Joined the organization as Senior Planning Engineer, and moved up the corporate ladder to handle increasing responsibilities and Special Assignments - aimed at improving coordination between end-user and supply chain.

Key Responsibilities - Special Assignment:
• Focusing on delivering bottom-line value via strategic planning, procurement; resources optimization, efficient coordination buyers & end-users and effective contractual deliverables.
• Hand-selected to manage entire breadth of procurement initiatives right from techno-commercial evaluation, negotiation, converting requisitions to purchase orders process and annual demand planning for all spare parts/ Consumables/ Services.
• Coordinated all daily activities meeting internal deadlines; processing, documenting and expediting POs, MRP, invoice issues, vendor reconciliation and cost-saving initiatives.
• Offering vision, direction and leadership in devising a rolling consumption plan based on demand forecasts, available capacity, inventory policies, while ensuring achievement of supply chain KPIs.
• Developing and maintaining a detailed master schedule and procurement plan that ensures an uninterrupted supply of all critical materials during maintenance and operations.
• Ensuring procurement function is compliant with organizational policies and streamlining MRP based on lead time, safety stock, min/max quantities and simultaneously reduce the obsolescence costs.
• Integrating inter-discipline schedule requirements and constraints to establish logical work sequences, structured supply chain policies and coordinated end-user communications.
• Developing monthly /weekly project reports, materials consumption reports, during all phases of Project and suggesting appropriate stock levels and consumption trends.
• Demonstrating expertise in identifying spares requirements for critical equipment, performing inventory management functions to optimize material flow and processing timely payments, etc.

Key Responsibilities - Senior Planning Engineer & Planning Head:
• Integrating strategic planning with key business processes to drive operations; logging the plant master data in SAP PM module as it relates to new PM creations; adjustment; frequent review and the plant assets master data encompassing new Technical Objects creations; BOM Linkage
• Monitoring the short- & long-term services contracts to ensure availability of required materials & services necessary for routine/non-routine maintenance activities.
• Providing strategic inputs in annual business planning, budgeting, expenditure control for all maintenance activities. Additionally planning, scheduling, coordinating and controlling of routine corrective, breakdown & preventive maintenance and closeout activities.
• Reviewing the data entered into SAP and issuing audit non-conformance against maintenance to concerned staff and compiling statistical & descriptive reports on work status & KPIs compliance.
• Vigilantly monitoring the material availability for maintenance activities including special jobs and shutdown works by constantly tracking stock & non-stock items required for maintenance activities.
• Ascertaining seamless coordination with R&I, planning, maintenance and any involved contractors for timely completion of maintenance work. Overseeing the day to day functions of maintenance services and ensuring compliance with established quality parameters.
• Applying sharp analytical abilities to guide the SAP technicians in improving user experience and offering technical support to address all technical issues.
• Effectively leading planning process and directing major maintenance and shutdown activities including WBS, resource requirements (Materials, Manpower, Equipment and Services), schedules, work packs and S-Curves as per work priorities & within available manpower capacities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Contributed significantly in setting objectives, mediated extensively with Operations (to check equipment availability), Maintenance Sections (for manpower capacity) and concerned Planners (for materials and services readiness) to achieve goals in terms of quality, yield, cost, delivery and output.
• Evaluated SAP notifications and meeting requests; broke down information into work orders and planned the monthly, weekly & daily rolling maintenance schedules based on operational priorities and detailed manpower, equipment and budget requirements.
• Offered innovative solutions to cost engineering and planning /scheduling problems in addition to managing project budgets and tracking project milestones/established costs and compliance with budgets and applicable KPIs.
• Analyzed business operations in SAP, conducted a detailed analysis of actual work, historical data, technical information and section activity reports to ensure quality and performance metrics.
• Mobilized all required project resources (manpower/equipment/material/cash for Turnarounds and Shutdowns; attending status review meetings with Contractors / Vendors / Supplier and offered technical support for aiding planned scope, progress, altering schedules and award contracts

• Provided a full portfolio of competent and proactive services including the implementation of Zero Accident Culture, injury-free work environment and risk management, covering safety, hazard identification and loss prevention.
• Participated in formal/informal forums to understand issues faced by the Royal Commission and documented all risk management and safe operating procedures.
• Monitored project activities through routine management, safety committee and contractor meetings, inspection, site visits and requisite in-house/mandatory trainings during each project.
• Ensured all employees adhere with company HSE and Lifesaving rules as well as implemented safe working procedures at workplace, delivered site safety educational seminars and webinars and effected stringent measures for safety of workers and facilities.
• Championed of development of safety reports that identify critical activities, highlighted safety concerns during site surveillance, conducted, formal risk assessments and ensured key safety information are communicated, followed-up and documented in a timely manner.
• Inspected all facilities under purview, reported on accidents/incidents/ near misses and suggested measures to augment efficiency, emergency preparedness and safety norms.
