Joined the organization as Senior Planning Engineer, and moved up the corporate ladder to handle increasing responsibilities and Special Assignments - aimed at improving coordination between end-user and supply chain.
Key Responsibilities - Special Assignment:
• Focusing on delivering bottom-line value via strategic planning, procurement; resources optimization, efficient coordination buyers & end-users and effective contractual deliverables.
• Hand-selected to manage entire breadth of procurement initiatives right from techno-commercial evaluation, negotiation, converting requisitions to purchase orders process and annual demand planning for all spare parts/ Consumables/ Services.
• Coordinated all daily activities meeting internal deadlines; processing, documenting and expediting POs, MRP, invoice issues, vendor reconciliation and cost-saving initiatives.
• Offering vision, direction and leadership in devising a rolling consumption plan based on demand forecasts, available capacity, inventory policies, while ensuring achievement of supply chain KPIs.
• Developing and maintaining a detailed master schedule and procurement plan that ensures an uninterrupted supply of all critical materials during maintenance and operations.
• Ensuring procurement function is compliant with organizational policies and streamlining MRP based on lead time, safety stock, min/max quantities and simultaneously reduce the obsolescence costs.
• Integrating inter-discipline schedule requirements and constraints to establish logical work sequences, structured supply chain policies and coordinated end-user communications.
• Developing monthly /weekly project reports, materials consumption reports, during all phases of Project and suggesting appropriate stock levels and consumption trends.
• Demonstrating expertise in identifying spares requirements for critical equipment, performing inventory management functions to optimize material flow and processing timely payments, etc.
Key Responsibilities - Senior Planning Engineer & Planning Head:
• Integrating strategic planning with key business processes to drive operations; logging the plant master data in SAP PM module as it relates to new PM creations; adjustment; frequent review and the plant assets master data encompassing new Technical Objects creations; BOM Linkage
• Monitoring the short- & long-term services contracts to ensure availability of required materials & services necessary for routine/non-routine maintenance activities.
• Providing strategic inputs in annual business planning, budgeting, expenditure control for all maintenance activities. Additionally planning, scheduling, coordinating and controlling of routine corrective, breakdown & preventive maintenance and closeout activities.
• Reviewing the data entered into SAP and issuing audit non-conformance against maintenance to concerned staff and compiling statistical & descriptive reports on work status & KPIs compliance.
• Vigilantly monitoring the material availability for maintenance activities including special jobs and shutdown works by constantly tracking stock & non-stock items required for maintenance activities.
• Ascertaining seamless coordination with R&I, planning, maintenance and any involved contractors for timely completion of maintenance work. Overseeing the day to day functions of maintenance services and ensuring compliance with established quality parameters.
• Applying sharp analytical abilities to guide the SAP technicians in improving user experience and offering technical support to address all technical issues.
• Effectively leading planning process and directing major maintenance and shutdown activities including WBS, resource requirements (Materials, Manpower, Equipment and Services), schedules, work packs and S-Curves as per work priorities & within available manpower capacities.
