Oversee formulation of NBB corporate strategy and determine compliance with corporate vision and group corporate strategy. Conduct analysis of local, regional, and global trends as well as benchmarking exercise to support corporate strategy. Devise group corporate and organisational strategy, whilst uncovering strategic priorities. Monitor annual CAPEX budget for department in line with group budget and identify opportunities for group senior management and business improvements. Monitor preparation and execution of annual planning framework to translate organisational plans into quantitative actionable operational plans and define organisational/individual goals. • Maintained group projects portfolio of $50M and confirmed accurate budget monitoring against project plans.
• Steered development of relevant dashboards to assess strategic performance via strategic KPIs.
• Led creation and deployment of governance framework to manage delivery of programmes and projects.
• Introduced strategic sustainability initiatives, including installing biggest solar farm in Bahrain Banking Sector and executed, first Net-Zero and leed platinum branch.
• Managed to transfer around 600+ staff from old classic office space to top-notch scalable open space combined with collaboration areas, training rooms, corporate meeting lounge.
Established procurement department, including staff recruitment, policy development, and functional procedures formulation. Monitored and initiated first Procure to Pay (P2P) system within bank to optimise bank procurement and finance process and well as ensure control over purchases to increase accuracy and efficiency.
• Transformed old classic look with modern state of art design and operationalised 20 branches in 24 months in Bahrain UAE by managing construction and fit-out transformation projects.
• Led and introduced customer mandate files digitalisation and Know Your Customer (KYC) identification initiative for over 400K+ client across Bahrain.
• Reduced Bank’s inventory and fixed assets by outsourcing all stationary and electronic devices that lead to increased efficiency, increased focus on strategy/core competencies, and reduced cost.
Monitored project tenders, planning, implementation of Air Navigation Systems and ensured compliance with all international/national standards. Steered air navigation systems improvement initiative in collaboration with Minister of Transportation and Telecommunication. Ensured adherence with defined maintenance standards, recommended practice/procedures of International Civil Aviation Organization for communication, navigation, and surveillance systems, and orchestrated training for staff to maintain high standards of service in line with ICAO standards. Assessed performance of management teams to confirm adherence with plans, deadline, and priorities. Planned and oversaw multimillion air navigation projects to increase operational excellence of civil aviation authority.
• Developed $26M Bahrain area control centre project and delivered $3M Instrument landing system project.
• Delivered $5M advanced surface movement guidance and control system, first in Bahrain’s aviation history.
• Introduced ATSEP to certify and license engineers and technicians across directorate’s four departments, such as communication, navigation, surveillance, and air traffic management department.
• Supervised 100+ staff working 24/7 and managing one of the most critical data centre in Bahrain.
Orchestrated meetings with officials within and outside Civil Aviation Affairs related to GCC and Middle East joint projects progress to determine smooth project execution throughout lifecycle. Interpreted project requirements into implementable plans, analysed air navigation project documents, negotiated contracts with bidders, initiated communication channels, and optimally allocated resources. Assessed contemporary technologies in international market to calculate benefits of system replacement. Crafted reports on air navigation projects finance, planning, and administration. Oversaw activities of project personnel and evaluated status reports to ensure project progresses within budgetary constraints.
• Spearheaded and delivered $1M Bahrain aeronautical information management system project.
• Introduced and finalised $185K system aircraft take-off and landing CCTV monitoring and recording systems project and $210K search and rescue system project.
• Managed multiple projects, such as $580K emergency flight information centre project, $235K schedule shift/roster system project, and $410K back-up automatic weather station (AWS) project.
• Led $499K dual fibre optic network project for Bahrain International Airport for emergency backup for navigation system.
• Attained 2013 to 2018 Global Air Navigation plan of International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) by monitoring Aviation System Block Upgrade (ASBU) Modules.
Supervised all aspects of project management process in co-ordination with all stakeholders to accomplish defined target with optimised inputs and outputs. Drafted project plans, assigned resources, oversaw project progress, and shared reports with management for decision making. • Developed and delivered $2M security solutions projects at kingdom of Saudi Arabia project.
• Directed implementation and completion of $44M New Doha International Airport Fire and Security solutions project.
Established fully Assets Management solution which covers the assets of the company on a project basis.
Worked on the Civilian Radar Project with budget of 10 million Euros. The project covers such works as design and construction of buildings, power plants, industrial facilities such alarm system, Fire detection, Fire extinguisher, Air condition system, BMS, UPS, standby generator and Radar installation.
Responsible for overseeing the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and closing of the project that are preformed under Air Navigation Department.
Responsible for R & D with aviation focus; working with management to define best practices and procedures; monitoring projects, technical plans, timelines, and budgets; coordinating between departments and work with contractors; conduct risk analysis and deliver regular reports; discuss any issues in monthly management meetings and ensure project completes on time and on budget delivery.
Responsible for Uninterruptible power supply (UPS) which including Developing operation standard procedure, day-to-day preventive maintenance (PM), and Monthly Service.
Responsible for the supervision of the existing Radar systems which entails the general system maintenance, test equipment and keeping an up to date calibration status of the system in order to ensure the smooth progression of the Radar systems.
Responsible for the establishment and development of full IT projects, networks and infrastructures from initial conception to completion.
Main responsibilities included customer liaison, design, testing to successful implementation within budget, scope, timescales and process limitations.
Worked cross-functionally within a customer focused, multi-site environment, maintaining the delivery of IT services and technology projects which provided for extensive LAN, Hardware, and Software experience.
