My role as the Credit Controller is to provide effective management of credit collection. I focus on client relationship management for new credit facility accounts for companies. I am responsible for notifying, communicating, and meeting customers with outstanding balances to secure payment and maintain customer goodwill. I communicate with customers to determine the reason for payment delays and at the same time review the terms of the sales, service, and credit contract with customers to settle unpaid dues in their accounts.
• Determining credit limit and payment terms for new customers or approved credit applications, based on risk evaluation.
• Lead and manage a team of professionals, ensuring their effective performance, development, and alignment with organizational goals.
• View and discuss with sales the new credit requests and make sure all documents are complete and up to date.
• Develop work standards, objectives, and maintain effective workflows and operating procedures related to collections of accounts receivable.
• View and discuss with customer service, finance department and credit controllers to make sure that all processes are correct and make the adjustments needed.
• View with credit controllers the account receivables and discuss the reasons for payments delays to find a solutions and provide the options customer have, re-estimate the customers and take the necessary actions.
• Discuss with the management the detailed account receivables aging on weekly basis
• Oversee the setting and achievement of monthly collection targets for the Credit team.
• Proactively monitor collection activities and provide solutions and processes to reduce late balances.
• Follow up via emails, calls, and visiting customers for outstanding payments.
• Monitor and ensure timely invoice delivery to clients.
• Preparing Customers SOA
• Post customer payments in the system and allocate customer receipts to invoices and credit notes to show the correct balances to ensure that debtor information is accurate.
• Timely alert to Senior Management of any doubtful debts and discuss any future course of action including Police Case, Legal, Settlement or Arbitration.
• Review bad debts write-offs prior to management approval and take corrective actions if necessary.
• Prepare documentation and correspondence required for account escalations, police complaints and other documents required for communication.
