The client is Saudi Industrial Property Authority (MODON) .
I'm one from construction management team, as we are providing consultancy & project management services for the client .
- the project consists from 48 ready built factories, service buildings, Admin Buildings, sewer network and Roads .
My role in the project :-
# Undertake technical and feasibility studies and site investigations;
# Develop detailed designs;
# Assess the potential risks of specific projects, as well as undertake risk management in specialist roles;
# Supervise tendering procedures and put together proposals;
# Manage, supervise and visit contractors on site and advise on civil engineering issues;
# Oversee the work of junior staff, or mentor civil engineers throughout the chartership process;
# Communicate and liaise effectively with colleagues and architects, subcontractors, contracting civil engineers, consultants, co-workers and clients;
# Think both creatively and logically to resolve design and development problems;
# Manage budgets and other project resources;
# Manage change, as the client may change their mind about the design, and ensure relevant parties are notified of changes in the project;
# Lead teams of other engineers, perhaps from other organisations or firms;
compile, check and approve reports;
# Review and approve project drawings.

•Responsible for the supervision and monitoring of site construction activities in all phases of civil.
•Ensure that contractors comply with the approved drawings and specifications in terms of design material and workmanship standards and the work is done in high quality.
•Performs regular inspections on activities engaged in quality control testing of materials and completed work in an efficient and cost effective manner for the purpose of ensuring their compliance with the set quality standards and conditions.
•Review contractors submittals and keep engineering comments for approval.
•Ensure that materials used is approved by consultant/Owner and according to specifications, approved drawings, contract and customer satisfaction.
•Performs quality inspections on completed works and making sure that the work is performed accordingly to acceptable standards.
•Support the customer by recommending the best supplier, subcontract and scientific comparison on any quotations.
•Ensure that all documents is available at the sites (Drawings, contract, block files, inspection files, time schedule, MOM, etc ) as per authority requirements.
•Study and review the issued construction drawings, work details, procedures and materials to ensure the compliance with the applicable standards and construction specifications.
•Estimation and costing for the field jobs, requesting materials.
•Monitor the progress and indicate in the inspection report.
•Coordinates with the project staff for any new changes to specifications and/or requirements.
•Push the project in order to meet the deadline and ensure the implementation of the approved schedule.
•Maintain functional links with other engineers in the project and maintain good coordination and communication the contractors / sub-contractors.
•Prepare and update daily/weekly report, daily manpower report including completed item of works.
•Ensure the health and safety regulation is met according to the authority requirements and company policy and procedures in regards the health and safety.
•Follow the Authority regulations and rules and ensure that we are creating an excellent image with Authority and other Government organizations
