Assumes total responsibility for the management of the Shipping Department activities between the Alshaya Logistics team, Clearing Agents, Forwarders, Suppliers and Brand Teams. Provide effective and efficient support to RDC and LDC on both Inbound and Outbound operations to support Corporate objectives. Manage the flow of work within the Department according to SLA in an efficient and cost effective manner. Available on call 24/7 by Shipping Teams to ensure 100% service and support to RDC operations. Allocate workload to its team members by ensuring that individual’s productivity is maintained and that the assigned tasks are adhered to and well delivered.
Ensure that freight forwarding agents continuously communicate information relevant to incoming shipments.
Ensure information reaches Merchandisers, finance, etc.
Ensure Shipping Co-ordinators actions comply fully with import requirements, advising/instructing as necessary.
Liaise with freight forwarders on a continuous basis through all available media.
Assists in compiling the Suppliers’ Manual detailing Middle East import requirements.
Ensure continuous liaison with local clearing agents. Handle all queries involving non-compliance of customs and municipal requirements.
Ensure that Shipping Co-ordinators process shipments on time and efficiently.
Communicate problems with all affected parties.
Continuously ensure all affected parties are fully informed on shipment details.
Meet regularly with local clearing agents and Regional Distribution Centre Employees
Check all payment of supplier document, freight, clearance and customs costs.
Ensure that all shipment records are maintained.
Ensure the Management of the daily/weekly shipment tracking information process.
Consolidate Monthly, Quarterly and Annual shipping reports, ensuring that figures are accurate and complete
Coach, develop and mentor a team of Shipping Coordinators.
Manage a team of Shipping Co-ordinators, identify and recommend training needs/requirements.
Recommend individuals for succession planning and any training needs required to develop them.
Develop and manage the Shipping KPI’s to ensure all service requirements are met across the
Supply Chain.
Hold regular meetings with Freight Forwarders, Clearing Agents and Operations to
review KPI’s.
Agree action plans to improve performance where necessary.

Responsibilities
In charge of all logistics activities in Warnaco Inc. Egypt office to insure on time & smooth flow for ( Goods - Information - Payment ) of the exported shipments with value of $100 million form the following origins -Egypt, Bahrain Jordan, & Israel- to several destinations -US, Canada, Mexico, Uruguay, Netherlands, Italy HK.
Dealing with the Warnaco's overseas office ( US, Canada, Mexico, HK, Italy) in daily base for (Clearance, payment, approvals )
Following up ten vendors in four origins to insure their commitment of Warnaco standard procedures in (Booking- Documentation - load ability -security - GTN system requirement)
Dealing freight forwarders in (Quotation, approvals, payments, Documentation, trouble shooting of logistical issue)
Doc. audit
Issue check list & Uploaded clean Doc. in the share drive.
Approving web GCC
Make daily report for the Doc. status.
Make monthly recap for dead freight charges & charge it back to vendors
ICs distribution to vendor and Payment communication & follow up vendor's payments.
Charge back communication & Claim handling
