― Establish and develop working relationships with key donors and actively develop local funding sources appropriate to the approved country strategy.
― Ensure that the planning, delivery and evaluation of projects complies with donor expectations and the terms of donor contracts, and that reporting to donors is of the highest standard
― With Head of Programmes and MEAL Personnel, ensure that project performance is monitored regularly and compared to targets, deliverables, and budget
― Ensuring, with Head of region and CMT support, that the organization's income forcast are met;
― Promoting and protecting the organization's public image and credibility with key stakeholders including members, partner organizations, government agencies, and funders;
― Ensuring that the organization's assets--human, financial and physical--are well managed and protected;
― Responsible for reviewing the Strategy and Action Plan are fit for purpose and ensuring effective implementation at country-level;
― Promote the relationships between all departments (HR, Logistic, Programme, finance, IT, social and seasonal programme, microfinance).
― Guide and give pragmatic and actionable advice on operational excellence to achieve optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness in all functions and operations of the country programme.
― Oversee the deployment and utilisation of financial and operational policies, procedures, and systems to deliver compliance with HQ and donor requirements.
― Improve the quality of progress and financial reporting through technical feedback and keep HQ informed on the financial status of country programs.
― Promote an organisational culture of compliance within IRW Chad to Anti-Money Laundering instructions/laws of the donors and the Government of the host country and ensure that all the relevant financial procedures are in place.
― Maintaining effective and appropriate staff recruitment, induction, appraisal, remuneration and development practice at all levels to ensure the optimum utilisation and development of human resources.
― Support individual learning and development plans as a way to foster and encourage talent and new leadership potential throughout the organisation
― Build the capacity of the HR department to put in place a practical and functional performance management system.
― Advise security focal point in maintaining an overview of political and security context through developing and updating security and evacuation procedures and plan to ensure all staff adhere to health and safety guidelines.
