Veterinarian with Permanent Governmental Job at Vet. Clinic, Agricultural Development Department in Sur, Directorate-General of Agriculture and Livestock in Governorates of North and South AL-Sharqiyah, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Sultanate of Oman.
Duties, Responsibilities and Field Skills:-
1- Investigation of All Disease Outbreaks and Follow-up Epizootic Diseases around Region in Livestock and Wildlife.
2- Conduct Clinical and Sero-Surveillance of Epidemiological Diseases like (Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever, Foot and Mouth Disease, Peste des Petits Ruminants, Sheep Pox, etc...).
3- Collection, processing and analysis of field data and Submission of Samples to Laboratory for Confirmatory Diagnosing.
4- Questionnaires and Reports of Epidemiological diseases Beside Preparation of Field Teams for Investigation and Annual Vaccination of infectious diseases.
5- Preparation of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Monthly Reports.
6- Internal Medicine: Performed Diagnosis for Sick Animals of Different Species (Camelids, Bovines, Ovines, Caprines, Equines, and Poultry) besides Prescribing Appropriate Treatment.
7- Surgery: Conducted and Participated in Many operations (e.g. C.S., Foreign Body, Uterine and Vaginal Prolapses', Castration, etc…).
8- Morbid Anatomy for Dead Animals and Poultry to reach a Final Diagnosis of Diseases.
9- Laboratory: Performed all Simple Tests in Haematology, Serology and Faecal Analysis.
10- Using of Computers is part of my job by dealing with pregramms like: Microsoft office-MS- office -Word-excel- powerpoint.
