• Develop and maintain procurement routines and procedures, ensuring compliance and consistency of operation to the implemented procedures.
• Develop purchasing or sourcing strategies based on portfolio analyses and supplier pre-referencing study.
• Ensure commercial, legal and contractual compliance in all the procurement transactions.
• Identifying “procurement” risks and recommend such actions necessary to mitigate.
• Lead competitive sourcing activities.
• Develop and negotiate supply agreements when needed, Considering cost reduction while maintaining quality and product value.
• Prepare Purchase Orders for issue according to client technical specifications and Project Procedure.
• Monitor and report the progress of materials, equipment and supplier documentation (the goods) post Purchase Order award.
• Track the fabrication schedules and Milestones.
• Review and approve the shipping documents required for customs clearance of all equipment/ material of the project taking into consideration the nature of this project (duty exempted and non-duty exempted projects)
• Coordinate with vendor on continuous quality improvement.
• Manage supplier partner relationships as appropriate to build effective support and category impact, maintaining a highly ethical and transparent approach to “doing business right”.
