Directing and overseeing Information Technology strategies and operations in 22 AMIDEAST field offices located 13 countries in the MENA region.
Streamlining and supporting the management, operations, quality control, and efficiency of AMIDEAST’s information technology systems that supports office operations and communication systems.
AOJS-II is a USAID funded Project directed to enhancing and automating the Judicial System within the Courts of First Instance.
· Directed and coordinated the efforts of subcontractors, project staff, and
employees of the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) to assess enterprise-wide
technology needs for MOJ, the National Center For Judicial Studies, and
the first instance courts. The scope of the assessments included hardware,
software and telecommunications needs.
· Planned and supervised the nationwide WAN implementation plan and
operations for the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) project.
· Executed all International/Local procurements of IT commodities and
technical services for both the project and the Ministry of Justice and
maintained a detailed inventory. The cost of all procurements exceeded the
value of $7, 000, 000
· Directed all facets of IT deployment, integrating: computer hardware,
operating systems, voice and data communication, user productivity and
custom software application including the three websites operated by the
MOJ.
· Directed the implementation of state of the art high-end video conferencing
facilities at the Ministry of Justice, NCJS, and medium-level video
conference capability at nine Courts of First Instance (COFI). The video
conferencing operates within the MOJ VPN, enabling distance learning for
court staff.
· Directed and implemented Microsoft Exchange 2007 at the JIC datacenter,
providing high end, high availability and secure emailing system for the
MOJ.
· Directed outside contracting firm to implement enhanced security measures
on JIC datacenter, WAN, Courts of First Instance, NCJS and MOJ, and
external connections for internet accessibility. Scope of the work included
configurations of security hardware, disaster recovery, and operator
procedures.
