• Assisting with Maintenance lead in preparing the spare part list according to criticality for the startup of the plant and for the first year of operation to avoid any upsets and down time.
• Dealing with authorities to get new water sources to the plant.
• Building new load tables for the plant gas consumptions, working with Gas Company and IDA for getting the proper approvals.
• Preparation (assist) RFQ for Boiler improvement project (1.5 Mln $), improvement 6 %.

Organize, plan, and manage utilities operation in coordination with Plant Management to meet plant production targets; develops procedures for updates and improvements; assists in the planning and execution of shutdowns.
Manages risk/loss potential to personnel, equipment, and utilities operations.
Conducts or organizes proper training on job tasks and safe operation of equipment; participates in safety/environmental audits.
Effectively manages costs, Tracks utilities expenses.
Building the utilities budget yearly (responsible for Natural gas, water supply, chemicals supply to the plant).
Organize day and shift tasks in a timely and effective manner, Prepare necessary permits for the works on site.
Coordinate with maintenance department that utilities equipment is trouble-free, perform work orders, share in weekly maintenance planning meeting, and planning for annual shutdown jobs.
Create friendly working environment among Utilities Operators with emphasis on teamwork, responsible for building new strong team, development and on-job training for the team, evaluate the performance of subordinates and make proposals for bonuses.
Solving technical or operational problems that may arise during work in utilities area, Prepare monthly utilities report.
Make proposals for increasing the efficiency of the equipment use and optimization of utilities operation.
Leading the Kilo-watt king program in the plant to develop the energy reduction plans.
Participation in improving cooling tower performance projects (makeup from RO to cooling tower, 3D- TRASAR, side stream filtration).
Commissioning and startup for the Co-generation project.
Project leader for new flash steam vessel (energy saving project).
Project coordinator for supplying firefighting system for the hexane tanks and for the turbine building.
Team member of the plant safety committee, working on the tasks which lead to serious injuries and fatalities, perform risk assessment to them especially chemical hazards.
Writing the startup and shutdown procedure for the utilities area, and keep them updated, train the new engineers and operator on them.

Providing reliable supply of utilities to plant areas to ensure the smooth running of process operation.
Boiler startup, monitoring steam output to plant, pressure, temperature, chemicals addition, routine samples boiler water, condensate and evaluate results and take actions if needed, carry out tests to ensure safety devices are working.
water treatment plant ( reverse osmosis ) start up and shut down, monitoring chemicals addition, water pressure and temperature, routine sampling of water and evaluate results and take actions if needed, good understanding of water treatment equipments “pumps, membranes, filteration, instruments”, membrane cleaning procedures
Air compressors start up, shut down, monitoring usage and air quality, maintenance plan for the compressor to insure continous running.
Fire fighting system “test fire fighting pumps weekly, inspection for the whole network for leaks.
Cooling tower water analysis, monitoring chemical addition, evaluate results and take actions if needed
Assist in scheduling needed equipment repairs / modification with Maintenance Department.
