The Integrated Fish and Shrimp Hatchery Unit in Kafr El-Sheikh is a major strategic component of the National Company for Fisheries and Aquaculture’s large-scale development program. The project is designed to support Egypt’s growing aquaculture industry by producing high-quality marine fish fingerlings and shrimp larvae at industrial capacity. The hatchery covers an area of 17 feddans and is equipped to produce approximately 20 million marine fish fingerlings and nearly 2 billion shrimp larvae each year. This unit forms the core of a broader aquaculture complex that includes marine fish farms, freshwater fish farms, shrimp grow-out ponds, feed production plants, research and development facilities, and fully equipped fish and shrimp processing units.
The project’s cultivation areas include extensive marine fish farming facilities made up of 453 grow-out ponds and 155 nursery ponds, with a production capacity reaching nearly 3000 tons of fish per cycle. Additionally, the shrimp farming sector includes 655 ponds designed to achieve an output of around 2000 tons per cycle. aimed to transform the existing municipal theater into a modern cultural center
equipped to host large artistic and theatrical events.
The facility covers 1, 500 m² and accommodates 450 spectators across three
levels. The development works included IT halls, VIP lounges, artists rooms,
rehearsal studios, cultural-activity halls, and upgraded public service areas.
A core element of the project was the modernization of the main stage—12
m deep, 20 m wide, and 20 m high—outfitted with advanced sound, lighting,
