My career path is almost divided into 2 stages:
A- From 1985until 2000. It began within the Banking sector, namely in the areas of Investment Banking, Credit & Marketing, and Risk Management. I’ve held the following positions: Senior Risk Management Manager at Arab African International Bank, Credit & Marketing and Credit Administration Manager at Arab Bank PLC, Investment and Credit Assistant Manager at Misr Iran Development Bank. The main focus of my career at this stage was equity participation, long and short term finance, project finance, buying and selling shares, M&A, valuation, companies formation, syndications, risk assessment. In my capacity as Senior Risk Manager I had a single obligor lending limit of US$ one million. During this stage I lectured on a part time basis at various financial and educational institutions I instructed several Finance and Accounting courses; the Chase Manhattan Credit Course, Financial Analysis, Cash Flow, Cash Flow Projections, Financial Restructuring, Project Finance, and Accounting.
B- From 2000 until 2017. I shifted to multi-business groups. I was the Regional Finance and Administration Director at Al-Kharafi Group (Egypt), then CFO at Najib Alisa Group (KSA). My roles as Head of Finance at both Najib Alissa and Kharafi Group were nearly the same. The responsibilities I held fall under 3 main categories:
1. Finance Stewardship and Managerial Role: This includes the normal finance function and managing the finance team. Normal finance function includes several sub groups:
A- Accounting, External Financial Reporting, and ERP system
B- Investments: M&A, New Business, Expansions of Existing Business, Project Management, Financial instruments,
C- Treasury: Cash Management, Financial Institutions Relationships and Fund Raising,
D- Corporate Finance: Working Capital Management & Credit.
E- Taxation and Taxation Planning
F- Budgeting, Internal Reports, Financial and Business Analysis.
G- Controls and Risk Management.
H- Organizational Skill: Developing Structures, Establishing and Promoting Healthy Culture, Managing, coaching, leading the staff and team building. Hiring, Developing, Motivating, and Retaining Qualified Team Members.
2. Advisory, Facilitator and Catalyst Role: Supporting the CEO and executives in their jobs and a business partner in their decisions by providing analysis, insight, proposing and assessing alternatives, legal issues, structuring transactions& deals, and incentive schemes, negotiation skills...etc. Playing a role in handling conflict of interests of stakeholders.
3. Strategist: I was in a position to see the full impact of the strategies across the group, and see the whole value chain and totality. In this respect I provided:
a- Assistance in mission and vision development.
b- Analysis and insight to support strategic planning.
c- Leading initiatives that support overall goals.
d- Ensure business decisions are grounded on sound financial terms.
e- Funding, and thus enabling and executing strategy.
f- Formulating, and developing the overall strategy.
In addition to my role as a CFO at Najib Alisa, I was the General Manager and the ultimate responsible for the Ready Mix activity including finance, sales and marketing, maintenance, operations, administration, production…etc.
Currently I am the Executive Director at Ergo, Egypt responsible for the full operation of the company.

I reinforced my experience through several courses: CMA, Chase Manhattan Credit Course, Certified Balance Score Card, Strategic Business Analysis, Financial Restructuring, Risk Analysis, and Corporate Valuation.

1. A feasibility study for a company engaged in printing activity, beside negotiations with the bank to extend loans to the company.
2. A feasibility study for a company producing Duplex paper.

 Passenger Cars.
 Heavy Trucks.
 Home Appliance.
3. Evaluating a five Stars Hotel for the purpose of selling out.
4. The financial part of a comprehensive study prepared by Hassan Dora office for a company engaged in Tourism Development of the Rivera Area. The Study included both Infra & Super structure development in the area. It was submitted under a contest announced by the company, and was ranked the first.
5. The financial part of a comprehensive study prepared by Hassan Dora office for a company engaged in Tourism Development of Dahab area. The study included both infra & super structure development in the area.
6. Financial study for a project engaged in cattle raising, meat storage and meat processing.
