I am working as Field Rotating Equipment Engineer (Mechanical Engineer) for GUPCO (Gulf of Swize Petroleum Company) from April 2012 till now.
I am responsible for operation & maintenance of Gas turbines, Gas compressors, Gear boxes, Pumps, Power turbines & any rotating equipment on site. I am responsible for gas turbines control system troubleshooting and control system upgrade and commissioning projects, I am responsible for removal and installation of Rotating Equipment and major & minor Over hauls.
I am supporting the maintenance team to maintain day-to-day reliable operations, and minimize equipment out of service. I am developing and managing rotating PM (Preventive Maintenance) programs, evaluating equipment performance, recommending improvements and new technologies
Rotating equipment and valve repairs as well as conducting failure analysis reports for all equipment defects and failures in the plant and lead the maintenance team for performing investigation and troubleshooting activities and develop recommendations
I am reviewing and updating the critical spare part list under area and performing cataloguing activities
I am handling spare parts purchase orders and active maintenance work orders that includes ordering material, carryout shutdown items and new work and upgrades
I am developing contract scope of work and General coordination with vendors
Projects design package reviewing and execution
I have more than 11 years of experience with advance knowledge and experience in the field of rotating equipment.
I have deep knowledge in equipment reliability and failure troubleshooting.
I have good knowledge of the design and operating function of GUPCO facilities and equipment. The aptitude and ability to apply an engineering analysis and appraisal to maintenance techniques and practices.
I have the practical knowledge and experience in maintenance methods & practices including offshore pipelines & platforms structures repairs, welding & fabrication procedures, coating systems and material science
I have the knowledge base of the latest developments in oil and gas process engineering technology through work experience, conferences, seminars and professional journals
I have a positive attitude, I am very open to new ideas, and face new challenges and I have the ability to work collaboratively for the company’s best interest.
