- Establish a list of discipline deliverables. Control, monitor, and progress these deliverables to an agreed schedule.
- Organize and manage all aspects of the workload of a team of piping discipline engineers and designers, within the parameters of a project schedule.
- Monitors all engineering, design, 3D CAD, and CAD drafting activities to assure conformance with Client and/or Company specifications, governing codes, and good engineering practice.
- Responsible for the issue of all piping deliverable documents. Organize inputs and supervise for preparation of general layout, equipment layout, key plans, support design, isometrics, material take-offs, stress analysis, pipe material specifications, and material requisitions.
- Estimates quantities or validate estimation done.
- Train/mentor more junior engineers.
- Perform stress analysis and/or review analyses of piping systems connected to critical rotating equipment.
- Evaluate calculated stress results, displacement stress range, and pipe support loads.
- Perform Finite Element Analysis for special piping fittings for evaluating stress intensification factor “SIF” for determining fatigue failure.
- Review and approve project drawings, and keep communication with the project team, the client, and construction personnel.
- Work with other engineers and designers in the resolution of technical issues.
- Perform dynamic modal analysis for calculating piping natural frequencies to prevent operational vibration issues, and potential piping fatigue and provide a safe plant.
- Update, approve and seal engineering calculations for final turnover to the client.
- Perform verification stress analysis calculation to approve the station piping design.
- Run Water hammer analysis for the Station piping with different scenarios.
- Select and combine the stress calculations from PID
- Execution stress analysis calculation for piping systems in sweet flare KO drum Area 291 & Acid flare system area 292
- Check pressure vessels and pump nozzle loads
- Locate the supports on the piping systems
- Carryout stress analysis calculation for all connections to the GRE tanks newly installed, and issue stress report
