- Providing Global IT support for Vodafone Enterprise & Web Applications for all branches of Vodafone Companies around the world.
- Maintaining the availability of the applications and their hosted servers (on UNIX platform) .
- Managing all system components including Apache, WebLogic.
- Troubleshooting & facilitating the Infrastructure and connectivity issues between different service application tiers. - Participating on the application deployments which are based on WebLogic application deployments.
- Troubleshooting and fixing database related issues.
- Executing standard requests for database operations
- Performing all possible technical troubleshooting steps to solve the problems and service requests .
- Ensure that all incidents are solved within the agreed SLA
- Update the technical documentation and the team knowledge base
•Administer, install and troubleshoot issues for Oracle RAC Database 10, 11g on Linux.
•Operating systems troubleshooting, performance tuning for issues related to Database.
•Provides technical support to application development teams .
•Work with developers in the database design phase for better database performance.
•Working with PL/SQL (Procedures, functions and package) to support developers.
•Monitors system/database access, performance and resource utilization
•Implements and verifies backup and recovery procedures for DBMS products
•Provides general support during the absence of the system administrator
•Participates in installation, integration and testing of purchased systems and in-house applications, and if required, diagnosing production problems
•Creates, maintains and refreshes databases for development, tests and production.
•Provide 24/7 support for critical database issues.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
