Office of The Principal Recipient for The Global Fund Grants -
National TB Control Program (NTP), Pakistan
MAJOR RESPONSIBILTIES:
* To lead the Procurement & Supply Chain Management Unit at NTP country office;
* To lead the team of procurement and supply chain officers for all the National/ Local
and International procurements;
* To organize and manage a system for the procurement and supply chain management
of all health and non-health products for the program and its allied projects;
* To develop a mechanism for the maintenance of record of all in-progress and completed
procurements;
* To develop Procurement & Supply Chain Management (PSM) Plans;
* To coordinate and help all the components of NTP in devising quarterly/ annual
procurement plans;
* To assist NTP in development of guidelines for procurement of goods;
* To assist NTP in purchase of all Equipment and other program commodities including
Anti-TB drugs;
* To develop Invitation for Bids, Request for Quotations, Expression of Interests, Request
for Proposals, Pre-qualification and other formats relating to procurement;
* To ensure secure transportation of equipment, supplies and Anti-TB drugs to all across
the country;
* To supervise the

Strengthening Logistics Management system (District & Facility level) of Ministry of
Health (MoH), Ministry of Population Welfare (MoPW) and LHWs’ Program, Govt. of
Pakistan;
* Reproduce the material for orientation trainings;
* Conduct trainings of BHU/ RHC/ THQ/ DHQ/ FWC/ RHSA & MSU staff;
* Collect consolidated comprehensive reports from DoH/ PWD & LHWs’ Program;
* Coordinate with MoH/ MoPW for contraceptive stock status
Key Achievements
* Developed “Module on Logistics Management at First Level Care Facility”
* Successfully trained 415 BHU, MCH, THQ, DHQ and provincial level logistics related staff
of Department of Health on “Logistics Management at FLCF level”.
* Developed proformas for collection of Stock Reports from Provincial, District and Facility
level stores.
* Initiated the process of Information flow of Contraceptive stock status both from MoH
and MoPW warehouses/ stores.

Strengthening the Logistics Management system (Central, Provincial & District level) of
Ministry of Health (MoH), Ministry of Population Welfare (MoPW) and LHWs’ Program,
Govt. of Pakistan.
* Lead the teams of Sub-contractors LMI (USA) and UTi Pakistan.
* Keep close liaison with high govt. officials of both the ministries of Govt. of Pakistan.
* Advise the Chief of Party (CoP) TACMIL Health Project for Procurement of services of
different short term consultants.
* Module Development on Logistics Management.
* Lead the team for development of Software on Logistics Management Information
System (LMIS).
* Capacity building of Federal, Provincial and District Level staff dealing logistics of MoH,
MoPW and LHWs’ program by organizing country-wide training workshops on Logistics
Management and LMIS software.
* Follow-ups through regular field monitoring and mentoring through-out the country to
ensure that the system is working efficiently.
Key Achievements
* Successfully completed the task of emergency procurement of about 40 million rupees
in just four days time and ensured the in-time delivery of drug/ medicines and
equipments to Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar.
* Managed about 102 trainings on different topics all around the country in collaboration
with MNCH project of GoP.
* Lead a team for conducting need assessment study on “Logistics Management systems
of Ministry of Health (MoH) and Ministry of Population Welfare (MoPW) of Govt. of
Pakistan” at 20 districts, 4 provincial and central level warehouses/ stores.
* Detailed report on findings and recommendations of the study and presented to MoH
and MoPW.
* Lead the team for the development of fully dedicated software on Logistics
Management Information system for MoH and MoPW.
* Translation of a booklet (English to Urdu) “Guidelines on storage of Essential Drugs and
Contraceptives”.
* Developed basic “Concepts and Guidelines on Logistics Management of Essential Drugs
and Contraceptives” for officials of MoH and MoPW dealing logistics management at
district, provincial and central levels.
