Performing Regulatory compliance, related to bank’s business.
- Member of governance committee insuring that governance manuals and procedures are In line with Qatar Central Bank's and shareholders corporation’s governance standards.
- Drafting and reviewing contracts and banking commercial transactions agreements.
- Reviewing facilities supporting documents.
- Drafting legal correspondences, notices and summons.
- Providing legal opinions to the board in different legal matters.
- Rendering legal opinions to board of directories, and in all legal matters related to the bank (management, administration, branches).
- Managing legal team and supervising their work.
- Managing budget & cost of legal services related to outsource law firms.
- Taking necessary actions to save bank’s interest through litigation and liaising with external law firms.
Responsible for legal opinions and contracts, which include giving opinions about business unit's daily matters, handling legal risk related to Doha Bank. In addition to drafting and reviewing contracts related to Doha bank's business and transactions. Following legislative developments make sure that Doha Bank's practice is complying with legal framework of state of Qatar, and modifying the business unit's documents according to that. In addition, to follow legislative developments and modifying the business units documents in accordance to that. In mean time co-ordinate and follow up with outsource law firms that represents Doha Bank In any legal conflict.
