As a SOC Engineer my responsibilities are :
-Monitoring fault and warning alarms (Solarwinds), follow up incidents, generate reports on utilization and
performance, and escalate to corresponding technical team as necessary.
-Provide support to end-users, perform troubleshoot and resolve issues related to firewalls.
-Configuring, managing and troubleshooting UTMs Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper SRX and Paloalto.
- Managing web application firewall (WAF) Fortiweb.
-Configuration and managing Mail gateways like SMG, Fortimail and other security appliance such as proxy
server (bluecoat) and Mobile Device Management (Mobileiron).
-Managing Arbor DDOS prevention solution, Solarwinds, Archer, Gratbay, Aruba NAC and Pulse secure client
to site VPN solution (Pulse Secure).
-Performing vulnerability assessments, and generate vulnerability scanning reports (Qualys)
-Log logic SIEM, FortiAnalyzer and ArcSight Monitoring tool.
-Interact with vendors and service providers to ensure that hardware or software problems where dealt with
efficiently and effectively with minimal downtime.
-Develop technical documentation and content for the internal technical knowledge base.
s a Information Security Engineer my responsibilities are :
-Performing vulnerability assessments(Nessus) and risk analysis on regular bases, log logic SIEM
(Splunk), monitor system security performance, review and analyse the generated reports form security
devices and tools.
-Following up on penetration testing of a computer system, network or web application.
-Manging mail gateway and web application firewall (Fortiweb).
-Provide security training and awareness.
As a IT Security Engineer my responsibilities are:
Working as IT Security Engineer in high profile client project in different sectors such as banking and telecom
sectors (Central Bank Of Sudan, Faisal Bank, Sudanese Arab Bank, Bank of Khartoum and Zain operator
telecom) and performing the following:
- Planning and designing a secured Network infrastructure for customers.
-Designing, configuring and troubleshooting UTMs, AP, VPN and Mail gateway.
-Designing, configuring and troubleshooting web application firewall.
- Provide training to the client after completing the project.
